First timer here. I got the Fish Sandwich with Lake Superior Trout. The sandwich was simple, flavorful and delicious. Fish fried to perfection, great tartar sauce, melt cheese on a soft bun. And those fries are as good as they get! Absolutely would order that again. $11 (plus 3.5% credit card fee) was very reasonable for what I got. There are a few picnic tables there you could eat at but my food was packed in a box and good to go. Food came out fast and very fresh too. Great experience and certainly will be back again for more.

Awesome fish & chips food truck! Simple menu, great fish, and better service! We ordered the “Family Meal” which included 10 pieces of fish, 3 coleslaw(s), 3 tartar sauces, and a good size portion of french fries. Being a family of 4, it was just enough food to fill us all up and it was only $35 bucks! Not easy to feed a family out these days for under $50 or so, so we were pleasantly surprised! Found out, being natives to the area, they are allowed to serve Lake Trout, which many other establishments are not allowed to. We got a 50/50 basket of trout and white fish and we all thoroughly enjoyed it all. We all seemed to like the trout better, but most people after us seemed to order the white fish. Not sure you could go wrong with either!
They have several tables to eat at and bottled drinks available for purchase if you didn’t bring your own. Plenty of parking just to the side of the truck. These guys can get busy, but we didn’t have to wait longer than 10-15 minutes for our food. We highly recommend Cap’n Rons! Thanks guys

We stopped by one day to try some fish and chips. We opted for the fresh trout and loved it so much we went back the next day for more! This is a food truck with roadside picnic tables. The only complaint was that there was no shade. A must try when you’re in Munising.

Best food I’ve had so far on my road trip to the UP! These guys work hard in the heat and it was super busy. Best fish I’ve had in my life. You can’t beat the $13 for 3 pieces of fish, fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce.

Really great Whitefish and Lake Trout. So good we came back twice. Just be warned though, Cap’n Ron gets a bit salty if you ask for extra tartar sauce and then wants 50 cents for it. I happily paid for it. All part of the experience. Also watch out for the ducks begging for fries if you dine at the picnic tables.

After spending the weekend camping at Grand National Island, my friend and I were looking for a great place to eat, fish specifically. We found this place and left with a great impression. Sadly they did not have Lake Superior trout, but the white fried fish was very delicious, and the fires too. I loved the sauces and Coleslaw too. 10/10

We went out for the Pictured Rocks cruise and were told this was the best white fish in the city and I would 100% agree with that. A little ways out of town but this place is a hidden gem. We ordered white fish dip and two five piece white fish baskets.
There was a sign on the window saying they only take cash but their card reader was working yesterday when we came!
We had to wait about 5-10 minutes because they had to grab more fish from the dock. Totally worth the wait! The white fish dip was the best I’ve had in all the summers we’ve visited Michigan and the fried pita that came with it to dip was super warm and delicious. There is a little fridge you can buy some coke products and water.
The baskets were also incredible, fresh and hot! Best white fish we’ve had and the sauce, fries & coleslaw were all perfect additives! Everyone was super kind and kept us up to date on if they were getting more fish.
We sat on picnic tables next to the food truck and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We went around 1500 and there was a decent line after we got there so I would guess this place stays busy! We will 100% be back here!

The fish here is amazing. It was the freshest fish I’ve had in the UP and the best fish basket. I ate lunch here and the prices are good and the portions are big. They even let me eat my lunch on the dock. This place is legit. Gordon Ramsey had eaten there as well. It’s tucked away on a small side street right on the lake. They are connected to Matsons Fisheries and not only provide traditional fresh and smoked fish but also his unique blend of ingredients to their smoked fish dip and smoked fish sausage, and fish and chips. Lunch with a a nice view of lake.
