I was stationed in the area while in the Navy over 30 years ago. I spent many evenings in Cap’n Odies Bar back then. It was a dive bar, but it was our dive bar. I was excited years back when I saw it on the show Bar Rescue. Recently I was in the area and saw Cap’n Odies and had to stop in to see it’s transformation from the show and have a drink. When I entered it was very dark. Looks like everything was painted over. The bar looked worse then it did 30+ years ago. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. It was around 11am. There was a couple regulars at the bar. I stayed for a drink to toast the memories and left.

The morning shift was rude. Asking why I used the bathroom twice. I was recently homeless and thought id stop in since evening shift is amazing to me there. I love the music and just drinking water. Hanging with people. Sucks I was treated like a nobody bc I dont have money

Your local bar. Pretty cool place.
They went all out for Halloween, did a great job decorating. Service was good, and the back patio was a nice place to relax.
Good place for drinks and relaxing with friends. Nothing over the top, but t I would recommend if you live in the area.

Great bar ! I’ve been here multiple times and I’ve always had a great time and was treated amazingly! It’s sad to see some of the reviews bashing this place because when you come here they treat everyone like family and such a friendly vibe and this is coming from a man of color !

Went with some friends, three of us were regulars and the rest were there for the first time. The bartender demanded that we all show our IDs as we walked in, which never happened before. We complied and all showed her our IDs, which she said that one of my friends (who was a regular) was underage and couldn’t be there, even though he is 22. Incredibly disrespectful, and I’ve only seen that bartender act like that when we went with a big group with mostly black people. Never going back again.

This bar used to be my go to bar to play pool, the environment was always chill and the people there were always nice but as soon as I walked in with a group with black people in it, the lady there immediately treated us very rudely upon checking ID’s, she claimed that we were being disrespectful towards her even though everyone complied with giving her their ID’s and she then tried to claim that I was to young because I was born in 2002 which makes absolutely no sense, since I’m 22 years old and I was a regular there. She has never given me that complaint before or treated me like that every other time I have been there.

Stopping at 2 PM on Saturday. Sat at table watching bartender gabbing with folks at the bar. Sat for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement that we even were there. This being the first visit for my wife and myself, rest assured there will be no repeat visit.

Music was a little too loud. I like listening to music. But I want to hear my conversation with the person next to me. Other than that, a great little dive bar only been there once.
