I loved the cat but my guest was allergic. The views were beautiful. Our server Hailley was not welcoming. The owner and another server with beautiful locs made sure our visit was enjoyable.
The food was fresh and delicious.

The breading on the shrimp, oysters was crispy and great flavor. Large shrimp, great cocktail sauce and tartar sauce. Good view of the river from deck which is built around trees. The unique corn ribs had good flavor. The deck and windows Need a good cleaning but the food is good.

$14 gets you SIX pieces of shrimp. The fried shrimp platter came with two sides (I got double fries) and two (small) hush puppies.

The food itself wasn’t bad, though I didn’t care for the batter on the shrimp. I just can’t get over the fact that a $14 platter gets you six small to medium shrimps.

I definitely left hungry.

A little hidden gem. I have to say that the Fried Catfish was so very tasty. Not dry and rubbery like some places I’ve had. Their Gumbo smelled Devine!

The establishment was small but quaint. It felt comfortable. There is even outdoor seating available. It was very layed back and casual.

The only issue I have is that the side of hushpuppies was 2 small Hush Puppies. I am not aure that is enough. Maybe like 5 or 2 bigger hush puppies. Oh and the staff is wonderful. Very helpful, very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients in each dish. They were very busy but our waitress never missed a beat. She constantly checked on our table of 10. Bravo We will be going back.

You don’t know what to expect coming here but I was pleasantly surprised! I love the vibe. Reminded me of being on a bayou! I can only imagine how much nice it would be in the summer when you’re able to sit outside on the marina. The oysters were delicious and very fresh. The seafood gumbo was flavorful as well. Service was great as well. I would definitely come back.

Cute place but would only return for the water front seating. The food was either super good or left on the plate due to flavor or cooking style. The okra has pokey stuff in it that got stuck in my throat and the rice pilaf left a lot to be desired. The gator bites and the corn balls were a standout though.

Notes:

You cannot be seated until your whole party is there.

Huge parking lot but lots of pot holes so slow down as you come towards it.

Google will try to send you through a trailer park, instead keep driving straight when it wants to to turn in. It will reroute you.

Most authentic atmosphere possible. Down home like Nana’s kitchen! Servers are friendly treat you like family. Mfood might be slower but it is fresh and amazing with good portions. The gator bites and shrimp poppers are amazing! I got the soft shell crab poboy and it was great! Grouper looked great too!

This is definitely a hidden gem! The view to the river is spectacular and the vibe in the restaurant is so calming. Blues jazz music playing and our food and service was wonderful, everyone was very friendly. They also have live music on Sundays evenings, check their website. Here are a few photos of the restaurant outside. They have covered outdoor patio seating as well. Also, they do have a gated RV park right next door to the restaurant. Nothing real fancy, but excellent WiFi and 50/30 amp hook ups, sewer. Easy price around 40.00 a night. All gravel rv spaces, level, with a nice walking park in the front area outside the gate.

We visited recently after a day on the river. This is only my second time to ever visit this location so I am not sure what is normal but the place felt like it was in the middle of a move or transition. The service staff was nice but when we ordered, she was not aware what the kitchen was out of and we were having an early dinner at about 430 but had to adjust our orders but all in all the food was good and I always enjoy eating near the water
