Reviews
Me and my family came to celebrate my little sister’s 21st birthday. We all ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Since it was a big party it did take some time for our food to be ready.
Everyone was pretty satisfied with their food but some items could’ve been seasoned more and served with a bigger portion in our opinion .
Capital Prime Restaurant completely ruined our company Christmas party. We had an 8:30 PM reservation with a private room, but it wasn’t available because the prior party didn’t leave. We were pushed into a crowded bar area and had to ask just to get a table.
They ran out of major items — baked potatoes, tomahawk steaks, Coors Light, and multiple desserts. Management offered nothing but excuses and no solutions.
Some appetizers came out, then the rest arrived 45 minutes later. When asked about the delay, the food runner questioned whether we even wanted them anymore. Dessert took another 30 minutes, then we were asked if we wanted it to go while still seated. No coffee, no recovery effort.
The only professional all night was our waiter. Our bill was $1,800 including tip, which is outrageous for an experience that was stressful, embarrassing, and disappointing. I do not recommend hosting events here.
For the food, we weren’t impressed either. My girlfriend ordered the A5 Wagyu, and while it was tender, it honestly tasted like a regular filet mignon—nothing that felt “A5” or worth the premium. I ordered the dry-aged New York strip, and it had very little flavor outside of maybe a light amount of seasoning.
With a tab over $600, we expected a standout experience, and it just didn’t deliver. Service and atmosphere were fine, but for that price point, the drinks and steaks need to be far better.
The place is beautiful, the ambiance is very pleasant. Service was excellent, our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu.
Appetizers, bread and entrees were delicious.
Would definitely recommend it!
