Matt is an amazing bartender. The pizza recommendation was excellent. We had the Jalapeño Popper Pizza and the Mango Express pizza. Both were full of flavor, excellent crust and generous. Tristan is an excellent waiter. We will be coming back!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by such a welcoming hostess. I have a service dog and had a really bad experience at a different restaurant the day before, so this was a very pleasant change. We ordered the antipasta plate, which was delicious. Everyone really enjoyed the fresh mozzarella. I ordered the gluten-free pizza with some hot chilies and onions. The crust was great, and the pizza was cheesy. My only issue would be that the chilies are fairly mild. I usually get jalapeños but ordered these as per the server, who said that they were very spicy in contrast to the jalapeños. My friends ordered the large jalapeño popper pizza, and they loved it. The large was enough for the three of them, but we did order another small one just in case. Our server was very attentive and kept apologizing for the extremely slow service from the kitchen. So just be ready to wait for your food. Overall, the food and service made it a great experience.

Ordered take out from Capital Pizza tonight (2/6/26). I don’t know what happened but tonight they were completely off. I wouldn’t say the front of the house was the issue, it was the food. We have been to this Capital location many times. Even had birthday dinners there. The wait was more than 45 minutes, but the staff in the front were very apologetic. However, once we started eating, the chicken wings had a soft texture (asked for extra well done), the pizza crust tasted doughy, the common flavor of the Jalepano popper pizza didn’t taste normal, and the cinnamon pizza was hard. All in all, I do love Capital & will give them another chance, but I’m hoping they fix or bring the food back up to par like before. Tonight’s dinner wasn’t worth over $50.

We were disappointed with Capital pizza. This used to be one of our favorite places, but our take-out yesterday was only mediocre. It was expensive for what we got. The crust was so hard in places, it wasn’t edible. But the dough in the middle was actually stuck to the cardboard. Maybe thin crust isn’t their specialty, but costs more.

Poor service. They forgot to make a pizza with no real apology. You can’t forget pizza at a pizza place. Then take 45 min to make it and the bottom is still soft. So many better options in town. Hadn’t tried in years, came for second chance and had this experience, won’t be returning.

The greet you once you enter, you don’t have to wait over 3 minutes once you sit down to get drink order taken, they’re always polite and helpful. The food is amazing! By far the best pizza in Texas!! The pepperoni is delicious, the house salad is scrumptious, the cheese bread is on an entire different level. One house salad can easily feed 2 adults I just suggest asking for extra dressing. We got the same order twice it was so good. And the prices are even better!!!

I’ve been in Lubbock for work for just over 4 weeks and I’ve had this 5 times. Yummm is an understatement and Christy recommended the S’mores pizza sp i did that this last time. Mmmm hmmm.

Arrived at 6:30 and ordered a pizza and drinks. Received our drinks and at 7:30 asked about our pizza. Server said it had not even been put in the oven yet. We told the server that we were not able to wait another 30 minutes to eat. She said they would put it in right away. At 8pm asked where the pizza was and was told not even in the oven still because they were short staffed and behind. So we left after 1 1/2 hours with drinks. We were the 3rd table to walk out with no food. When I asked the employee to at least let customers know of the long wait I got attitude from one of the employees telling me they were doing their best and just trying to make a living. Hate to say it was a normal pizza stop for my wife and I, But we will patronize another restaurant that appreciates our business.

We recently had dinner at this location for the first time. We got there late on a Saturday and were seated promptly. Our server was fantastic and everything we had was just superb. Sandwiches, wings, salads, and of course, pizza. Large portions of everything and flawlessly executed. Looking forward to a return visit!
