Miguel was the capital one specialist that greeted us into the lounge. He explained everything well and was also super welcoming!
Will be back for more remote working.
Atmosphere is full of neutral fluorescent lights, or lights with the same energy as fluorescents. Decent internet and lots of outlets. Good enough to get work done in a pinch but would definitely be a last choice option as far as cafe’s go in my opinon.
I asked her a question and she repeated her answer about three times. I’m not the type to respond with attitude and I understand she might’ve been having a moment. But then I asked what kind of muffins they had and she simply answer “what do you want” I asked again, what kind do y’all have and she let me know after taking a deep breath of frustration. Then we noticed that every customer afterwards was being treated with kindness. So I don’t know what was going on but girly, get it together please. This is a place of business and customer service is everything. I hope you have a better day & remember Jesus loves you sis !
After finishing our coffee, my 80-year-old father, who is diabetic, urgently needed to use the restroom. The doors were locked and only one employee that I believe her name was Thery or Thory had access to open them.
She was sitting with two people, laughing and talking, and claimed she was “in a meeting.” When I politely asked her to unlock the restroom, she told me she would do it after she was done. We waited 10–15 minutes. I asked again and even requested the code so I could open it myself. She refused.
Let that sink in: an 80-year-old diabetic man waiting, while an employee chose not to pause a conversation for 30 seconds to unlock a door.
Only when we were leaving and I explained my father’s condition did she suddenly say, “I can do it now.” At that point, it was too late. As we walked away, she repeatedly and sarcastically said, “Have a great day.”
I mean if someone cannot handle the basic responsibility of unlocking a restroom door for an elderly customer in need, it seriously raises the question of whether they are suited for a customer-facing role at all. This wasn’t complicated. It required basic empathy and minimal effort.
This was not just poor service it was a complete lack of judgment and compassion. Management should seriously review how situations like this are handled.
When I approached the counter to place my order, the staff member didn’t greet me or offer a friendly opening like “How can I help you?” or “What can I get started for you?” Instead, they just stared, waiting for me to speak. It felt awkward and a bit unwelcoming–basic customer service really goes a long way, even during slower hours. To be fair, someone did greet us when we entered the café, though I’m not sure if it was another staff member or the Capital One Ambassador.
One consistent issue I’ve run into (not just at this location) is that they’re frequently out of ingredients for the Honey Lavender Latte, which is frustrating. It’s clearly a popular drink, so it’s disappointing to find it unavailable–even when arriving early in the day. If it’s regularly featured, it should be regularly stocked.
That said, the space itself is great–plenty of seating, spacious tables, and private rooms make it ideal for studying or working. It’s also relatively quiet, which I appreciate. However, the food options are overpriced and underwhelming.
Overall, the café still offers a comfortable environment, but the customer service, inventory consistency, and food offerings could definitely be improved to match the potential of the space.
