What an absolute gem of an experience. I don’t often mention service first, but this time it has to be done. Dana was absolute VIP of being attentive, invested in our experience, friendly, everything you would want and more in someone waiting on you and more. You can tell that she’s passionate about how she makes her customers feel. I’ve never met wait staff this good. The food was amazing. The menu is diverse with healthy and more decadent options. There was live music, but not so loud that you couldn’t converse. My salmon was top notch!

Food was always great from pizzas to burgers to wings to tacos. Whatever we ordered was delicious. We have been there multiple times and kept coming back. The staff were helpful and super friendly. Prices were comparable to other American restaurants in the area nothing outrageous. We always went on weekdays except once. On Saturdays the place was a bit noisy with loud music. If you want to hold a conversation try weekdays.

Went there for brunch recently and had a great time. Brunch menu was just updated and everything we had was delicious. Our server, Kimberly, was so attentive and our mimosas were never empty. Will definitely be returning to try more menu items.

Connor was a great server, I really appreciated his attentiveness. He brought our drinks out in a timely manner as well as our food. He always made sure we were well with our food and drinks and checked up on us in a well amount of time. I really appreciated the customer service provided by this establishment as well as this server!

Amazing place! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a great environment that makes you feel right at home. The staff is truly excellent—Justin and Jessica were fantastic servers, so friendly and attentive, and Rob behind the bar made the experience even better with his great energy and skill. Capital Craft is the perfect spot to enjoy delicious food and drinks, whether you’re spending time with family, catching up with friends, or just looking for a great night out. Highly recommend

Capital Craft Isn’t What It Used to Be…

My family and I have been loyal fans of Capital Craft for years. It was our go-to spot for scratch-made meals—pork chops, creative entrées, and a menu that truly stood out. Whether for date nights, family dinners, or trivia with drinks, it never disappointed.

After months away, my wife and I returned excited for that same experience. Instead, we found a completely different place. The menu has been cut in half and now feels like a basic bar menu—wings, burgers, sandwiches—gone are the unique, made-from-scratch dishes that made this place special.

We tried the BOGO pizzas (specialty and margarita), and they were a letdown: bland dough, stiff cheese, and seasoning that tasted store-bought. The brisket pizza was even worse.

We later learned there’s new management, and sadly, the quality and atmosphere have changed with it.

The only bright spot? Drinks and happy hour are still good. But overall, it’s heartbreaking to see a once-great restaurant lose what made it special.

I recently visited Capital Craft NJ for lunch on a Sunday after a Costco trip. While the food was undeniably great, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed with the overall service experience. Here’s a breakdown of my visit:

Firstly, let’s talk about the positives. The food at Capital Craft NJ was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, and each dish was expertly prepared. From the appetizers to the main course, I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It’s clear that the chefs are talented and passionate about their craft. The quality of the food alone is reason enough to consider a visit.

However, the service left much to be desired. Similar to what others have mentioned, I found the service at Capital Craft NJ to be subpar. One particular issue that caught my attention was their payment process. I was surprised to learn that they don’t allow payments via mobile phones. In an age where digital transactions are becoming the norm, it felt like a significant inconvenience. It would be a welcome improvement if they could adopt more modern payment methods.

Moreover, when it came time to settle the bill, I was presented with a tipping machine that started with a minimum tip amount of 20%. This approach felt presumptuous and somewhat manipulative. I believe that tipping should be left to the discretion of the customer based on the quality of service received. It would be more customer-friendly if they allowed for a wider range of tipping options or simply left that decision to the individual.

Another aspect that left me slightly disappointed was the lack of attentiveness from the staff. I would have appreciated it if they had proactively asked me if I wanted more drinks before bringing the check. This attention to detail can significantly enhance the overall dining experience. It’s the small gestures like these that make customers feel valued and well taken care of.

In conclusion, Capital Craft NJ offers a delectable menu with flavors that will satisfy your taste buds. However, the service experience falls short of expectations. The absence of mobile payments, the tipping machine starting at a high percentage, and the lack of proactive service were notable drawbacks. Despite these issues, if you’re primarily looking for scrumptious food, Capital Craft NJ is worth a visit. Just be prepared for a service experience that may not match the quality of the cuisine.

Also noted the path to the restroom is between other tables. Pretty inconvenient.

My wife and I had a good experience during happy hour around 4pm on a random Friday for food and drinks. We were greeted by Dana who was an awesome server; informative, friendly, and attentive. Drinks were delicious, we can recommend Espresso Martini, Purple Haze, and Heart Breaker. Food was good, fresh ingredients were definitely used in that Boogie Nights Pizza! Highly recommend. We also shared Steak Tacos, Loaded Mac N Cheese was worth every bite. We’ll be back to enjoy more!

Conner at Capital Craft was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in, he was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and made the whole experience feel effortless. It’s rare to find service that feels both professional and personal — and Conner nailed it. We’ll definitely be back!

I recently had my baby shower at the Green Brook location on 1/3/26. We had such a great experience. We worked with Brielle who was very organized and quick to respond. We used their private room upstairs. It had its own private bar and bathroom. We received so many compliments on the place and food. We did a brunch. It was affordable and very comparable to anything else in the area. They even let us and guest bring leftovers home (I am not sure if that is standard, but we weren’t expecting it). Would definitely book again.
