We will definitely be back to enjoy more of what Capital Craft has to offer!
We were there yesterday (April 3rd around 4pm) and still a nice place to enjoy their happy hour. The service, food and in general everything was very good. I was particularly impressed with one of the bartenders that came to our table to make sure we were good (our server was also very attentive).
No delays in seating, service or attention while we enjoyed the atmosphere. Traffic did start to pick up after 5pm.
Overall still a great place to meet with friends and continues on our list of must stop places while visiting in the area.
On a side note, we use to frequent the next door establishment but Capital Craft just has a much more pleasant environment.
The bartender wasn’t very attentive. I ordered a beer and my friend ordered a cider. When she brought the drinks, both were very light in color and neither had any head. After taking a sip, we realized the drinks had been switched.
Normally a mix-up wouldn’t be a big deal, but I am allergic to apples. That meant I had accidentally taken a sip of cider, which could have been catastrophic. When we explained the mistake and mentioned my allergy, the bartender tried to joke that there were “no apples in the cider.” Thankfully I didn’t have a full anaphylactic reaction, but I did develop blisters around my lips.
She checked in once to ask if I was okay. Shortly after, she called last call around 10:45 PM. Maybe the Google hours are incorrect, but regardless, the attitude toward customers and the dismissive response to a potentially serious allergy were disappointing.
I’m generally very forgiving of honest mistakes, but the rudeness and cavalier response from the bartender are why I felt the need to leave this review.
