New seafood spot in Surf City. The menu looks amazing. We tried the hush puppies, calamari, and crab dip appetizers. The crab dip was our fav. Had a little horseradish which gave it a nice but different flavor. Entrees included fish and chips, shrimp and grits, cheeseburger, and ribeye. The ribeye was too thin for the price and a tad overcooked. Everything was good. The burger was probably the best. They brought out the wrong sauces which is not a big deal until I got the bill and saw they charge for ranch. Not worth mentioning to the server over $0.50. Service was generally good and friendly.

Excellent food and service! Highly recommend the following dishes : surf and Turf chimichurri, harvest shrimp salad and shrimp scampi. All the dishes were light flavorful and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. Family friendly menu. Clean bathrooms.

This was my 1st time dining there and it was my 40th birthday! I was a party of 4 and my party was running late. While I was waiting, no one acknowledged me , asked if I wanted a drink or an appetizer while I waited. After about 15 mins I asked to move to another table but they ignored that request and sent a different server. She was excellent so I decided not to ruin my night. The food was AWESOME! I had the lobster and shrimp risotto and fried oysters. We order the fried oysters 5 times. My mother had the fried okra which also great. I do plan to return.

We tried Cape Fear Seafood in Surf City for the first time last night for an early Valentine’s dinner and were VERY pleased. Every item we tried was absolutely DELICOUS! My husband had fried oysters (some of the best we have had), rice pilaf and the risotto cakes (amazing). I had the Figure Eight stuffed flounder with rice pilaf and green beans and each bite was wonderful! Great drinks as well! Our server, Brooke, was fantastic and very kind. Looking forward to visiting often!

Very impressed! The menu is vast and interesting. The waitstaff attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The food was outstanding, fine casual dining with fine dining service. The value was so much better than the other wanna be “fine dining” (not) joints in town. We paid less and got more, plus spot on service, goʻd cocktails and a great price point. Wonderful! Certain to be back again and again.

We ordered take-out on a busy Friday night. The place was packed! There was – indeed – some problems with our order (a very long wait and a couple items forgotten)…. BUT… the Manager was great, demonstrating ownership and professionalism despite my crankiness, and took great care of us. The food we did get was REALLY good and I’m looking forward to going back soon.

My husband and two children and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Our waitress Carisa was absolutely amazing and probably the best waitress we’ve ever had! She was so friendly to our kids and very accommodating to my son who has a seafood allergy and couldn’t have the fries in the grilled chicken kids meal. She brought us rice and bread instead! We came on a Saturday night, not realizing how busy it gets and we did wait for 30 to 45 minutes, even though we were told it could be over an hour and they got us in as fast as they could and the host’s we were very nice as well.
My husband and I both got the fresh catch red snapper (I did blackened and my husband did grilled) and it was absolutely delicious and worth the price. We will definitely be back when we visit this area. Thank you!

Amazing service, food and reasonable prices. Long wait but the weather was unexpectedly beautiful and this was to be expected. We ate at the bar and enjoyed it thoroughly.
