Looking for authentic Ghanaian cuisine in Maryland near Beltsville? Look no further than Cape Coast Cuisine!

Whether you’re Ghanaian, African, or simply a lover of delicious food, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a true taste of Ghana right here in Beltville Maryland, U.S.

One of the highlights is their mini buffet section, where you can mix and match your favorites – from Jollof rice, Waakye, and plain rice to a variety of tasty sides. The best part? You’re free to create any combination you like, and the portions are generous. No restrictions, just good food .

I can’t write this review without giving a special shoutout to my favorite Ghanaian dish: Kelewele. Cape Coast Cuisine’s version is 99.9999% as delicious as what you’d find in Ghana — spicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.

And of course, a warm thank you to Auntie Monitor, whose friendliness and hospitality perfectly reflect the welcoming spirit of the Ghanaian people.

I’ll be coming back again, and again, and again.

I guess I expected more from others speaking about it. There was only one person working at the restaurant. A woman and three workers in back. Had to grab our own menus. Food came out after about 15 minutes.. the portion was a lot, which was good seasoning left much to be desired, but my husband liked his. My food was ok at best, probably won’t go back.

Call ahead of time to place your order, else they wait time is ~25min. Doordash wouldn’t deliver to Silver Spring because it’s too far away. So I had to pick up my order by myself. The attendant was courteous and helped me take my stuff to my car. Portion sizes are big enough for the price. Parking is available in a lot right behind CVS. I liked the food. Recommended.

Be prepared to wait 1 hour & 30 minutes for simple order of soup. Checked in 30 minutes later only to be told they don’t have the fresh fish so they are getting started on your order now, an hour later still nothing. Its truly a wonder this place is still in business when there are much better tasting, much faster places in the area. Not once have I come here where I haven’t wait over an hour for always subpar food. Trying it to let it slide the 1st couple times wont work because it will always be like this. Horrific customer service & always trying to explain away incompetence. Spend your money elsewhere and go to Hunger Tamer or Rahama instead.

Cape Coast Cuisine is such a nice place.

The food is very fresh. To get certain dishes like fish, one should call ahead to pre order it because they take their time to make it well! And delicious!
For first timers is very to call first if you have an idea of what you are going to order and see if they have it ready.

I like the service. The waiter is very kind and friendly.

The chef and the owner is a very kind Ghanian tantie.

I can’t wait to go back

Excellent food with very sizable portions of food. Restaurant is clean and the service is good. We went at a non busy time so the host took his time explaining the dishes and answering our questions. This was helpful as we are not from west Africa. There were no issues using our coupon, and we received excellent service. The best time to go is on a weekday as I heard it gets very busy on the weekend.

Waited 20 mins to get served our drinks and waited an hours for our food that never came out. As I walked up to pay for our drinks, the food that I ordered was scooped out from the buffet and taken to the back to get reheated. This could’ve taken 15 mins to do but we were ignored the entire time because there were 3 other tables there…there were only 4 tables…we also arrived second and placed our order before the other two tables. Won’t be going back nor will I recommend this place ever again! The nerve to offer my food to go after an hour of waiting. Do better!
