Good steakes here! Was really impressed with the tenderness and flavor of the steak. I ordered chicken fried steak and it was really good. The sides were not the best. Had chips and salsa, and mozzarella sticks for appetizers were very good too. Service was ok, overall a good place for steak!

Went to Canyon Steak House for dinner and was overall not impressed.
Full disclosure we went in about 45 min before they closed. Our waitress was very friendly and got us drinks right away. After placing our order, we waited about 40 minutes for our food. I ordered a build your own burger with green chilis and a side of French fries. My boyfriend ordered a 16oz ribeye with a baked potato and side Caesar Salad. The salad took about 35 min to come out. Our waitress was apologetic.
My burger was tasty and the fries were well seasoned. However, my boyfriend ordered his steak med rare and it was well, well done. There was not really any seasoning which only made the poor quality meat more apparent. Our waitress realized he had ordered med rare and offered to have a new one cooked. He declined because it was past time their kitchen had closed. In the end, they ended up comping the steak which was very kind.
However, my boyfriend later got very ill and we believe it was from the meal eaten at Canyon Steak Company.
The waitress was great, but unfortunately we will not be returning.

We decided to stop into Canyon to eat in between hiking and the Texas musical at Palo Duro Canyon State Park. This place had good reviews, so we thought we’d give it a try.
We’re so glad we did! The wait staff was all super friendly and we were seated right away.
We ended up getting the Foreman Philly, Chicken fried steak, hamburger, Quesadilla, and Ribeye special. Everything was delicious. We’d definitely eat here again if we’re back in the area.

This restaurant offers great good, and service. Enjoyed an awesome lunch here today with my parents. I highly recommend the chips and beef queso. And any side of potatoes, fully loaded. Plus their chicken is perfect, not too much breading, and lightly toasted. If that’s the correct word.

Very interesting this place is! I really wasn’t sure what to think of it. It sits across from the city square so parking could be a challenge. Its not a quiet place to eat. Ribeye was good and the baked potato could have been a little more done. I was not impressed by the paper menus. Now our waitress Paige was very attentative and professional. Thank you Paige for the service .. have your boss print up some professional menus! Good place to go for lunch. Not a good place for a quiet dinner.

This was such a great place! This was my second visit. I came for lunch the first time and now I was here for dinner. It was absolutely wonderful! They had live music on a Saturday night that I loved. And the service was the best! They were so kind and friendly! Wish more people knew about this place on the square in Canyon, Texas!

Great spot- very clean, quick courteous service with a smile and delicious food. I had a chicken fried steak that was massive and wonderfully breaded/seasoned, caesar salad that had right amount of dressing, and the best tea I’ve probably had at a restaurant. Definitely a great spot that will visit again but will wear stretchier pants so I can try the dessert.. 10/10
