I hosted my daughter‘s sweet 16 birthday party at the historic Bank building at Cantwell’s Tavern in early December. We opted for the brunch buffet, and it was absolutely fabulous! We went with a Pancakes and Pajamas theme for the party and Cantwells knocked it out of the park! The guests raved about the food, the customer service was excellent, the space is stunning, and the price was more than fair. Morgan, the banquet manager, was also incredibly easy to work with. She was responsive, flexible, and went above and beyond to make sure that my daughter‘s birthday party was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend Cantwells enough!

Very quiet area. A little history, this building used to be an old hotel. They have bar seating upstairs and downstairs available. There is only 1 bathroom upstairs and it has a urinal and toilet. I am unsure of anu bathrooms upstairs. We enjoyed the old fashioneds we had in the bar area as well as a beer flight. They have a rotating beer list. The bar stools had no backs but we did enjoy the bar area. They also offered specials in the bar. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was good. My chicken sandwich was a bit dry and I thought the menu said it has coleslaw on it but there was none with it. The French onion soup had good flavor but it was loaded with croutons and little onions found.

This was me and my boyfriends first time dining here and it was great. We ordered the Jerk Mahi Mahi and the Beef Brisket. We also got their Key Lime pie to go for desert and it was amazing. My boyfriend also ordered the apple pie martini and he said it was delicious as well. Also our server Yana was great!

Stopped at this quaint restaurant for dinner while traveling. Historic building turned pub/tavern vibe. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was better than average. My husband had the salmon BLT. My daughter had the Big Mac burger, and I had the BBQ ranch turkey burger. The seasonal cheesecake was chocolate chip and tasted like a chocolate chip cookie. The key lime pie was light and tangy. The desserts were definitely the best part of the meal.

Always enjoy coming here to eat or for craft cocktails. The bar infuses liquor in-house and they have a good selection of bourbon.

Stopped for a light dinner while passing through the area. Enjoyed dinner. Now on our list when in the area again. Wonderful Williamsburg like historical atmosphere. Service was really good. Food was also good ( about. 3.5-3.8)…not great, but solid good. Overall a really nice dining experience. Their raw oysters were perfect.

Great atmosphere that has above average food for the price point. Service was very slow so if you are in a hurry you need to let them know. Great place to just hang out

This is supposed to be Picahna. It closely resembled a dog turd in size and was riddled with gristle. The fat was largely missing from the tip. I considered sending it back, but I certainly didn’t want to be comped or discounted which would later on give me a sense of guilt when giving a bad review.
Great service, great dessert. The issue lies in ingredients and the chef who decide to send this out of the kitchen.
Also annoying is that the flat iron steak that came out (in the background) was cubed and certainly didn’t have the texture of a prime steak. Do better next time.
Whatever you do, stay away from the steaks. The wedge salad and peanut butter bomb ls were delicious.

The pictures speak for themselves. $10 for French onion soup. 6 croutons and fake cheese. Was craving it so bad on this cold night. Barely 3 bites lmao
