It is a real Cantonese style Chinese restaurant, not just the name. The roast duck looks good and tasty! The soy bean chicken is less than perfect. Other dishes we ordered are all well prepared.
They also serve Americanized Chinese food, yes, those you can buy from the most of so called Chinese restaurants.
The staffs are friendly and able to speak English, Cantonese and mandarin.
If you’re curious to check them out, please do! What a fantastic find for our group!
We ordered two entrées and one appetizer. The first entrée and the appetizer came out relatively quickly, but the wait for the second entrée was endless. We waited another 30 minutes until a different server came over and asked if everything was okay. That’s when I told her we were missing one entire dish, and it appeared the order had been completely forgotten.
If it were busy, I would totally understand, but there were people just standing around in the back. Possibly because of this, our original server never came back to check on us, and we had to track someone down just to get a box. What was supposed to be a quick stop for food turned into almost a two-hour experience.
The food was still good, and I’ll likely come back, but I really hope the service improves
Thank you
The portions are hefty, the price is fair, the taste and quality of the food is always on point, and the family that runs the restaurant always create a friendly environment that I want to bring my family and friends to be part of. Order and enjoy!
As for the food, we ordered egg drop soup, steamed pork shumai, roast duck on rice, and General Tso’s chicken. One of the things that I thought was nice was that we were brought watermelon slices as a dessert and palate cleanser. They didn’t have to but the extra effort is greatly appreciated. We enjoyed everything, but I have some notes for what we ordered:
* Egg drop soup is my favorite, and although this one is good, it needs a bit more salt and white pepper
* The pork shumai was excellent, very juicy and flavorful
* The roast duck on rice was delicious, though I would suggest lessening the portion of rice to go with the duck – there was more rice compared to the duck. I would also suggest a dipping sauce to go with the steamed bok choy as well
* The General Tso’s chicken was flavorful, juicy, and crispy, with the right amount of spice – not too overpowering at all.
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. People need to understand that this place is still fairly new, being open for only a couple of months. I think that with time and implementing feedback from customers will elevate this place and help find its footing.
