We dined in today. The food was given in to go containers. The service was terrible, but we were just happy to sit in and dine somewhere in Pueblo. They charge $1.00 more for fried rice. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like dish soap, something was very odd about it. The sesame chicken lacked that sweet and spicy flavor we’re used to eating, also it has a darker sauce than the picture in the menu we ordered from. The cashew chicken was good. And the tofu with garlic sauce was okay, it had an odd taste about it and it was very very oily. This will not be a place we will ever return to.

Pretty average food. It was better once I added some sauces etc.
The service was great though and the employees kind.
I had a szechuan tofu. The tofu was cooked nice but the dish really was lacking in flavor and flare. It also didnt have freshness to it.

Who takes regular steamed shrimp and just mixed it in with “fried” rice??? They do.
And then the “fried” rice didn’t seem FRIED at all. It didn’t have any butter, no sesame oil, barely any egg, no seasoning. just dry.
It tasted like the frozen bag that you get from the grocery store.
I paid way too much money for this nonsense.
Two stars, because the chicken wings were just ok.

Nice little hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. My mom has my shu – best ever! I had ma po do fu – nice try but I prefer a little more authentic. In China they don’t make it with peas and carrots. It could be a little more spicy too. Still it had excellent flavor – for America. Won ton soup was strange for some reason but certainly eatable. I’m looking forward to a return visit and try something else.

Visit 3: visit 2 wasn’t as good. Today is visit 3 and I won’t be back. The wonton node soup was disgusting. Not only were the wanton soggy, they’re supposed to use egg noodles. On top of that, they are too cheap to serve soup in a bowl. Do you know how insulting it is to eat soup out of a to go plastic thing when we are eating in the restaurant? The kid who pretends to be a waiter forgot to bring the pancakes for the mooshi. The pancakes are wrapped so tight in cellophane wrap that it’s hard to unwrap them. Then they are stuck together. How to go from a decent place to a miserable one in 6 months.

We have been eating takeout from Canton House for 9 years. And never once have we had even one complaint. They are always so friendly when we come in and know us just by what we order . The food is always fresh, hot, and there is plenty of it for the price. The sesame chicken is the best in town, and my picky eater of a husband, swears by the chicken egg foo yung.

A good family run place for takeout Chinese food. Interior since is quite limited, making eating in a bit of a challenge.

Must be new ownership!! I used to buy from them all the time and LOVED it. Now the flavor of the sweet and sour sauce is off. The fried rice had no flavor. My General Tso’s chicken tasted way off…bland and not good at all. The food didn’t look good either. I WON’T be going back. The only thing that tasted okay was the Crab Cheese Wantons. I ate them with no sauce as the sauce didn’t taste good at all.

Canton House is amazing. As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted and given menus, we sat down and ordered, food came within 20 minutes, (we ordered a lot of food). Egg rolls were amazing, Chicken lo mein, amazing, springy noodles, and nicely flavored, fried rice, good too! Might need a little more spice for some people, so they have Siracha and Soy Sauce, or order the Thai Basil Fried Rice, they ran out of basil for us, but the fried rice was delicous none the less, it was spicy, and flavorful, we ordered with chicken, and we said no other meat and vegetables. but the registrar mistook it as chicken, no other meat, no vegetables, so it was a little too spicy, but as soon as I told the registrar and asked for some sauce to make the fried rice less spicy, he gave us sweet and sour sauce! Everything is amazing, they have great employees, great prices, great food, what is not to like?

I wish I could give a -5! Went here a couple days ago, waited 45 minutes for a to go order. Total bill for 3 dinners was nearly $50.

When I got food home to Pueblo West, I found that only 1 of the 3 dinners I had ordered, was correct. They just threw something together on the last 2 dinners. It didn’t even resemble what I had ordered! I waited for my to go order in their dining room! If they forgot what I ordered. They could have come & asked me, but instead, they just threw in a couple meals I neither ordered, nor wanted.

Then, the soups were bland, very UNDER seasoned! The other meals, that I didn’t order, were also bland, the egg rolls were saturated with oil & they were rubbery, with nothing but cabbage stuffed inside! Gross! Fried rice was clumpy & dry.

One thing in this $50 order was tasty & that was the fried cheese won ton. I will NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! Maybe they should consider hiring a chef who knows how to cook Chinese Food??

I love love love love love their jalapeno chicken, fried dumplings, lettuce wraps, and their egg rolls are NOT the same that I get anywhere else. Their egg rolls are humongous!!! I can only eat one here, whereas everywhere else I can eat 3. This place is awesome. I’m still exploring the menu, but I’m excited to do so. They are so amazing!!! I haven’t been here for 2 months and the woman who took my order STILL remembered that I love the spicy mustard sauce! I was amazed! Their food is so awesome. I’m going nowhere else for my chinese/Chinese-American food. They’re tops!!
