I have always loved the food from here. And I would have given this please a full five stars if it hadn’t been for my experience just now. Yesterday evening I ordered takeout. I wasn’t able to eat it right away when I got home, but when I sat down to eat it the chicken was super hard and very dry, and the crab rangoon were the same way except for they tasted old and the filling inside color looks off. I also had their chicken fried rice which was super super dry and had no seasoning. I have never had a bad experience from there with their food but last night was the worst food from there I’ve ever gotten, needless to say that I didn’t eat it. A little while ago I called to talk to the owner to tell her about the food and as I told her on the phone I have always loved their food and never had a problem at all with their food except for last night, so she offered me the same meal or a replacement of my money. I debated on which to do because I was really looking forward to my meal last night but I told her I would just go ahead and take my money back. When I got there and went inside, after she handed me my money she proceeds to tell me that she does not want my service anymore because I don’t like her food. And I told her no like I told you on the phone, I have always loved your guys’s food it’s just last night it was not right and she then tells me well if you don’t eat it right away it always gets hard! As I told her, I have gotten Chinese food plenty of times and had leftovers and it was never hard or as dry as what that was, and that was leftovers that I had eaten the following day, and I sat down to eat their food maybe 35 to 40 minutes after I got home. She then repeated herself and said she no longer wants my business. I feel as a business owner that yes she corrected her mistake, but to tell somebody they can’t come back because I politely told her about how the food was, is not a very good business owner to act that way. I was not trying to offend her in any way shape or form, again as I told her numerous times that I have ALWAYS loved their food, and had never gotten bad food from them up until last night. Sorry for the book, but I wanted to explain what happened and why I rated them so low. But so everyone knows, they do usually almost 99.99% of the time have excellent food. I just don’t know what she said to me was right because the business owners should be able to accept criticism that was said in a very polite and nice way and not tell somebody they can’t come back.

You couldn’t ask for fresher vegetables. Everything tasted great and the staff was super friendly. Not to mention that the prices are super reasonable.

This was a neat place with good food. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We went there around 4pm on a Thursday and we were there only ones there. I would definitely go back again. The prices are very good and the service was fairly quick.

I had a very particularly terrible experience here for the first visit. I was on lunch break so I didn’t have a whole lot of time. I arrived and there were no other vehicles in the parking lot. The first thing I noticed was a note on the door that read “NOT open for DINE-IN, CARRY OUT ONLY after 8pm”. Well there were no cars so I was suspicious if this was still accurate. I stopped in july 12, 2022 at exactly 2:13pm according to my phone camera. Again, there were other vehicles in sight. I stepped foot in the door and found the staff (presumably a family) eating together. A woman, man and a couple of teenagers/kids. They looked frustrated that I walked in and they all stood up as soon as I entered except for the man. The woman asked how she can help me, and I asked “Are you accepting dine-in?” And the lady pointed toward the entry door and asked “didn’t you read the sign?” By that point I was rather appalled and in shock at how rude they were being. Zero smiles. Yes the sign said that but with covid ruining civilization as we know it, I was trying to be polite to make sure I could in fact dine-in. I figured I was there already so I may as well give the food a shot, so I took a breath and she let me sit wherever. I sat down and she asked what kind of drink I wanted. I asked if they carried Pepsi or Coke products. She replied “Pepsi”. I said “alright”. She either misunderstood me, or wasn’t paying attention, because 30 seconds later she came out with a large cup of Pepsi over ice. (Which was neither what I ordered, nor what I wanted). So I asked her why she brought this to me, to which she replied “you want Pepsi”. And I told her no I didn’t want it. She had an attitude and was visually angry. I told her, “you know what? I’ll find a different place to eat.” As I stood up and calmly walked out. I don’t recall where I went instead, but I know I’ll never choose to eat there again.
I thought a lot about writing this as it’s taken me a few weeks to do this review. I asked myself what I would do if this was my family’s restaurant. I would tell my family member it’s time for a break from a restaurant if you respond like this to a customer. After all, that’s what keeps your business running. Seriously, maybe it’s time to close the doors for good, to make room for a better business and possibly better food, though I’ll never know the latter.
I’ve driven by this restaurant around the same time of day several times and I have yet to see ANY cars there. I think the locals know how rude they are and Canton House probably only gets a passersby here and there.

Canton House is excellent Chinese-American food. It appears to be run by a Chinese family. Owners are conscientious…once they forgot one item from my order and made a point to call me and let me know that they accidentally forgot it and would add it to a future order. I like their food and their service.

We’ve just moved to the area and this is the best Chinese restaurant hands down. Excellent service, great size and tasting proportions and well priced. We’ll definitely be back.

At time of arrival they were very busy. Our waitress was calm and collected, got our order and food in a timely manner. Food was good and we will go back. Appeared to be a favorite of the locals.

I don’t understand all the good reviews. Be aware CASH only – who does that in 2024? The food was very bland, the shrimp entree had a whopping four shrimp in it and the “seafood” soup had three baby shrimp and 2 thinly sliced pieces of fake crab in it. On a positive note if you like “hot” the hot and sour soup delivered.

This is the best food on this earth!!! It melts in your mouth. The pricing is great also. The only downside is you have to pay cash. This family are the sweetest people around and their children help out when they can. I drive over a hour just for their food

Just stopped in for a quick bite. SO glad we did! Made fresh for each order. Every bite was amazing. The plate size is perfect. You leave feeling full but not overdone like you would a buffet. Friendly staff. We will be return customers for sure
