Reviews
The space carries a quiet confidence, warm, polished, & unmistakably Italian, where Florentine heritage is felt rather than announced.
The atmosphere is refined without formality, allowing the cuisine to remain the true focus.
The food speaks with clarity & honesty.
The pappa al pomodoro, a Tuscan tomato and bread soup, was deeply comforting & beautifully balanced. The minestrone di verdure followed with freshness & restraint, letting the vegetables shine.
The pici Senesi all’Aglione was a standout, hand rolled pasta coated in a restrained tomato, garlic, & chili sauce, capturing the essence of Tuscany.
The rocket salad with Parmigiano was clean, crisp, & precisely executed.
The gamberoni with black garlic, olive oil, & chili delivered depth and character without overpowering the natural sweetness of the prawns.
To conclude, the tortino al cioccolato arrived perfectly timed, rich, molten, and indulgent.
Authenticity here is not claimed; it is evident. With attentive service & a composed setting, Cantinetta Antinori firmly earns its place among Vienna’s leading Italian gourmet destinations !
For our last dinner we were captivated by this beautiful Italian restaurant and its ambient.
The food was absolutely delicious, but service was extremely appalling.
We normally would spend at-least 100€ per person in every restaurant we visit, because we love to taste some great quality wine and would have loved a three course dinner, however our waiter was absolutely unfriendly, not attentive to service, that my partner had to even pour the water for me, so we decided only to order a main course and not spend any more.
I insisted to my partner not to tip, because the waiter threw the bill on the table and didn’t even hand it to my partner. As nice as my partner is, he still decided to tip hoping to give the waiter a second chance to redeem himself. To our shock, he didn’t even say thank you nor even bothered to offer our jackets.
It’s a shame to visit such a beautiful restaurant and be completely disappointed by the the service.
Great choice of wines, including wines by glass.
Highly recommend their dishes with truffles! Beware of small portions though. Especially pasta ones, they are really small.
