Cantina Verde is the answer to my Mexican food prayers.

Frankly, I am tired of the mediocre Mexican food that you find at most of the other places around.

From the moment you walk in to Cantina Verde, the ambience feels warm and relaxed, the kind of place where you instantly want to settle in and enjoy your time, knowing you won’t be rushed.

The service was personal and genuinely attentive without ever feeling overbearing, which made the experience even better.

The food absolutely delivers. The shrimp tacos are a must order. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with pineapple salsa that pushes the dish over the top. Pair them with the verde margarita, which is fantastic with or without alcohol. It is bright, refreshing, and thoughtfully crafted, with just the right amount of kick.

The guacamole was really fresh, but could have used a little more acid and salt.

Cantina Verde nails both comfort and quality. I will definitely be back.

A surprisingly delightful meal. Quaint location, amazing freshly made food and drinks. Treated to local music and table near the fireplace. Highly recommend the Verde Margarita and the Dip Trio. Perfect start! The queso was so good, chips/salsa, guacamole and pineapple salsa so fresh. We shared the Elk Sausage tacos on corn tortillas, which were so unique. The rice was so flavorful. Server was knowledgeable too. Took a churro cheesecake to-go and were surprised by the cake-like layers with cheesecake filling. Everything was absolutely delicious!!!

Food is freshly made here, those complementary chips and salsa delicious. So was my dinner, side salad, etc. cocktails was yummy also. Sarah the hostess is so sweet. Rachel the waiter for me, was right on top of it. Excellent service nice touch with the guitar, musician.

My wife and I walked by and stopped in for a lunch. We split the vegan queso, the chile rellanos, and enchiladas. Everything was great! The meal started with warm chips and a delicious salsa. Then our food came out and each part of it was a treat. The service was prompt and attentive.

EDIT: I brought my husband today for Father’s Day so we could sit up on the patio and give it another chance. Our meal took a long time to get served, but it did not disappoint! Our waitress, Maya, is awesome! We had chicken/steak fajitas, and they were delicious. The beans are too dry, but everything else was great. The chips are thin and light. We had dessert to go. My husband ordered the brownie, and it was very good .. light, nit like thick, stick-to-the-roof-of-your- mouth kind. I got the churro cheesecake. Wow, I never had anything like it! Sinfully delicious! The servings are very generous.

Really wanted to like this place. We were there over the weekend. The big thing was the hostess seated us in the back room all by ourselves! And there were hardly any people in the main front room! What was up with that? No one else was seated back there the entire time we were there. They were not busy.
While the food looks good, it was bland. The only nice thing was our waitress. Waste of money for us.

Great atmosphere – the log beams give it a warm & inviting feel. Menu isn’t extensive, but the food (Steak fajitas, Chile Relleno egg rolls) was very good. Looking forward to warmer weather so we can enjoy the outdoor seating area on the roof.

We’ve eaten at Cantina Verde a number of times and their Southwest/Mexican food is always excellent. But tonight for a change we tried their half pound burgers with fries. Wow, they were delicious! Hot, fresh, juicy…everything made fresh. And we finished off with their hot brownie dessert. Oh so yummy! Our server Cynthia was such a delight. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Seriously the best food I have had in Colorado! We got the Steak fajitas and the nachos and they were phenomenal! The margaritas are fresh and made with homemade lime juice and agave and not some sugary mix like most places.. the atmosphere is magical and feels like you’re in a cabin, service also great! Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I visited for the weekend and are so glad we came across Cantina Verde. The owner, Jesse, was so friendly and hospitable. Some of the best service I’ve had in a small mountain town restaurant. Also, highly recommend the chicken fajitas. Phenomenal!
