We had a group of 40 visiting Amelia island for an event and I called a month in advance to see if our large party could be accommodated. The restaurant does not accept reservations but we’re able to get us all seated at the promised time in the outdoor seating area. Food was fantastic and service was outstanding given the large party. Atmosphere is laid back and the murals and artwork give this place a very unique and fun vibe.

Great atmosphere with a sort of “Día de los Muertos” vibe. Friendly culinary experience guides kept the food and drinks coming on time and made wonderful recommendations for food and drinks. The margaritas seemed a little weak on the tequila ratio which is the only reason we gave the food category a 4 star. Other than that, this place is definitely worth trying! Lots of fun and good tacos!

Got right in (on the patio overlooking the pond with fountain) on a Saturday evening at 5:30. We had cocktails (Frozen Strawberry Margarita and Margarita on the rocks, Chicken Empanadas for an appetizer, veggie burrito with shrimp, and shrimp quesadillas. Food was all “fine” nothing exceptional, but the portion sizes were large. If we came back, we would try their tacos. $76 with tip-2 people.

The food is always delicious, hot, fresh, and served fast. The fajita burrito covered in queso is my favorite, and my husband loves the surf & turf burrito, which are served with fries, and they are really good fries considering its a Mexican restaurant.

Trust me, it’s not just plain food presentation, my taste buds told me that it’s worth finishing to the last bite. I’d say Cantina Louie is one of my two favorite Mexican Restaurants now. Their carnitas are superb!

The menu was large with plenty of options for everyone. They were able to accommodate our large party pretty quickly on a weekend evening. The kids were able to run around on the outside deck. They did bring the adults food out first and it took several (looong) minutes for the kids food to come out, leading to a meltdown. But once all the food came out, everyone was happy.

This is SUCH a fun environment with the string lights and sugar skulls EVERYWHERE! The food is outstanding and very wallet friendly!! Chips and salsa and queso are 10/10. Margaritas are delightful and inexpensive!! The wait staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly!
