Quick update. 2nd time at Loca. Overall everything was very good. Server was really good. Wings were a bit bland but street tacos were very good.
Food was tasty although a bit too much salt. Everyone commented on this. As other reviewers pointed out the food is a bit pricey for what they deliver but overall we enjoyed the meal. Server was very nice but disappeared for long stretches. It will be hard to return here given the number of excellent Mexican restaurants in the area.

We went on National Margarita day (Tuesday 2/22) at noon. The inside is pretty small but was pretty full already. We only saw two servers and a bartender working. After standing at the host stand for 5 minutes, the bartender told us to sit wherever we liked. We sat outside, worried about getting service since they were so busy and we were the only ones outside, but the server came out pretty quickly. No menus were brought to us, but luckily I had taken a picture of the drink menu while waiting and looked up the regular menu online. There were no drinks specials which was odd with it being margarita day. The margaritas are smaller than some Mexican places but were delicious and robust. We tried the strawberry, mango & local Rita. All tasted natural vs. simple syrup. The captain’s sunrise cocktail was ok (a little too much OJ). The loaded queso was terrific!!! It had tons of steak & chicken in it, although I’d prefer more tortillas with it over the chips that break easily. Our only complaint was the salsa tasted like marinara sauce. The chips are amazing, but that sauce needs to be changed~I’m eating chips and salsa, not cheese sticks & marina. The patio is gorgeous! I know where I will be coming this spring & fall!! Overall excellent service & experience

I got the Taco Trio with the Peri-Peri chicken, Baja Fish, and Al Pastor tacos. The tacos barely had any ingredients and the only taco that was good was the Peri-Peri chicken. The tacos were small and only came with refried beans but it costs $17.95 which is way too expensive. I tried my mom’s fajita quesadilla and that was good. The free chips tasted good but it took a while for them to get refilled. They seem to be short staffed so service took a while. It’s a good place to get drinks with friends though. The atmosphere was excellent! Overall, there’s so much potential if they can hire more waiters/bartenders/cooks, improve the pricing, and improve the food quality.

The place is small, but nicely decorated. Atmosphere is mix feelings.. Nice environment but music is way too loud for a restaurant. You will have to talk loud in order to have a conversation at your table. Food is good… But small portions. I was charged $38.00 for a chicken Fajita, rice and beans and a beer.
My experience was… Just another Mex restaurant. Nothing that was different than all the dozens of Mex restaurants in the area… Except way smaller portions than average.

Caelyn the bartender is great! She is on top of things and I never have to wait for a refill on drinks or chips. The food is good and the atmosphere is great with an outdoor porch area. If you are in the Sugarhill area, this is a great place to go.

Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night. Our waitress was also the hostess. Not many people there at all. Don’t expect cheap and fast here, you will be disappointed. My taco bowl, the margaritas, salsa and queso were delicious! The food was freshly prepared, seasoned and wholesome. Waitress was friendly and on point. I can see how a busy night might make this place less than ideal. Overall a pleasant dining experience except for the flies if you decide to dine outside.

Best Sunday Funday Brunch Experience in Sugar Hill! They allowed my girlfriends and I to sit for hours talking and enjoying fresh margaritas with the most genuine service. The experience was fun and the food was just right. Fresh and well salted chips were amazing. Definitely a great find on a needed day of friendship that included awesome and plentiful loaded queso, guacamole, burritos, and quesadillas. Enough food to take for dinner and a great price for it all. Quality and service are both aspects I cannot say enough wonderful notes about!

I’m not sure how this place is still in business. The kids got chicken fingers and rice & cheese quesadilla. Both of these meals were tasteless. Even the children complained about how boring the food was.
I got the house trio tacos. I laughed when I got it. The picture attached is what I actually got. All three of the tacos looked like this. The picture is the tequila lime chicken taco.
When I went to pick up the food, I wasn’t worried since the place was pretty busy. Wow what a disappointment.

Times have changed at the Cantina Loca!!! The food is 10x’s better and the drinks are good and strong! BUT this 5 star review is primarily for bartender/server Ivy!! She is FANTASTIC! My daughter and I have been going to Taco Tuesday for the last couple of months and she is consistently on point AND fun every single time! Cantina better not lose her because she’s turning things around for real!
