Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Service is phenomenal, atmosphere is cozy, and food is fantastic. The most notable dish we had was the Mussels Caprese. The garlic lemon wine sauce is delicious to dip with bread. Will definitely be regulars here.

Wonderful little slice if Italy in Fairfax. They have been in business for a long time, and that’s because the food is absolutely delicious. They have a menu that works, and they don’t mess with it! My husband and I do not live in the area, but we do try to stop in once a month or so. Everything is always absolutely perfect! As we finished our lunches a couple of weeks ago, I heard a very heavy pounding noise. YAY! Someone still knows how to pound chicken properly so it melts in your mouth. No kidding, any chicken dish on the menu at Cantina D’Itatia is absolutely fork tender. And the chefs know how to cook the chicken to perfection. You will NEVER get a piece of dry chicken at Cantina D’Italia!

Literally the best! I have no clue when people even bother to go to the olive garden across the street when the best Italian restaurant is right there! And cheaper.

We had a lovely evening celebrating a birthday here. The service was excellent and all of the food was also delicious. The atmosphere was a lot nicer than it looks online. They helped us to celebrate with great birthday desserts. We will definitely be going back.

The food was incredible. As hard as it is with their huge portions, try to save room for dessert. It is equally terrific. I am surprised the wait was only 10 minutes on a Saturday night. For this food, you would think it would be an hour on a Saturday.

This is a good Italian place. Tried the chicken with crab meat on it. Yummy, but a little bit lacking of flavor. The fried zucchini was delicious, bread was warm, soft and great, Italian dressing was really good too. Lemon drop martini was nice and strong! Service was top notch and atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing.

Hands down one of the top Italian places in Fairfax. The vibe’s super warm, like you’re in Italy with chill lights and cool decor. Food’s awesome..fresh, tasty stuff made the real way. The crew’s great: pros who are attentive and friendly. Big props to the owner and team for this neighborhood fave. I’ll swing by again soon

I had the Salsiccia Napoletana. This was a good lunch. It was penne pasta with sliced Italian sausage, herbs, marinara sauce, a little finely chopped tomato, and a little Parmesan. It came with a light salad with vinegrette, and sliced bread. The bread came early, but I kept it untouched (mostly) because I believe that it is necessary for mopping up the sauce after the main dish is eaten. I’m a fan of a good tomato sauce. There are a lot of dishes on the menu with creamy sauces, but I didn’t ask if they could substitute the sauce, so I restricted myself to the marinara dishes, but I also didn’t want to go for a basic spaghetti (which they also have on the menu), so I choose the Salsiccia Nepoletana. I left pleased. This is a good place for a laid back lunch or dinner. Very calm inside, though that may have just been because it wasn’t very busy at this late lunch hour.

The experience was exceptionally enjoyable and entertaining. This was my first visit to the establishment, and our server, Marixa, demonstrated exceptional expertise and knowledge of the menu and wine list. I was highly satisfied with the overall experience, and the pricing was reasonable compared to other Italian restaurants in the area. It is an ideal location for a romantic rendezvous.
