First time visiting here. It was recommended to us and walked in to be greeted warmly. We were immediately seated (table of four), our drink order taken, and a few minutes to decide on what we wanted.
I decided on the “Burrito California” while the wife was set on Fajitas. The other two at our table ordered Chimichangas, I think.
The food came out promptly in the time it too us to wipe out the chips and salsa. The salsa was nice and beat several of the last establishments we had visited with like food.
My burrito was very good: the steak succulent and cooked to perfection. The other ingredients were fresh and it was all put together well. The lettuce tasted fresh, the sour cream as well.
I was unable to filch anything from my wife but she said hers was good: looked like chicken and shrimp. I was able to liberate some of her guacamole though.
The two folks who ordered the chimichangas (sp?) said they were delicious and they knew that beforehand from eating there just yesterday.
All in all a nice dining experience and I would go back if I find myself in the area once more.

This is a frequent stop for our family! Hands down the best Mexican food around, with great service and affordable prices. The tortilla soup is amazing, and the frozen strawberry margarita is a must-try. We honestly haven’t had anything on the menu that isn’t fantastic. Very family-friendly!

Had dinner at Cantaritos in Pearl River and sat at the bar, which is centrally located with a great view of the whole restaurant. I ordered the Burrito Bandera, which was delicious—steak and shrimp with flavorful house sauces. The chips and salsa were complimentary, and the chips were super fresh. Salsa had great flavor. Food came out fast, and the whole experience felt welcoming and efficient.

My server, Jessica, was very friendly and attentive. All of the staff wore matching polo shirts, which gave a clean, professional appearance and added to the overall polished feel of the place. Everyone I observed—from waitstaff to what I think was the manager—seemed dialed in and customer-focused.

Outside, the building is pretty nondescript since it’s in a shared commercial plaza, but don’t let that fool you—inside, this place is sharp. Custom-branded chairs, tables, and even the bar are all decked out with the Cantaritos logo and bright colors. Super clean and well-designed, with great lighting and visual personality. It’s clear they put effort into the branding and atmosphere, and I always appreciate that kind of attention to detail.

As I left, someone I assumed was the manager or owner (wearing a different colored shirt) was near the entrance, and I made sure to compliment him and say, “This is a really nice restaurant.” Because it truly is.

Side note: I’ve submitted nearly 600 reviews, and my photos and videos have over 17 million views on Google Maps. If this helped, give me a follow—it’s always appreciated!

Cantaritos is the best family friendly Mexican Restaurant on the Northshore. The Owner Ricky Should be Proud of his Staff. Shout Out to his Servers Valeria, Cristian and Edwin. The Cooks make such authentic Mexican Cuisine that last year right after they open the tacos tasted just like they did in Baja Mexico from a missions trip i went on. I havent had a bad Dish since they been open and the food is always fresh. If You like Mexican cuisine then this place is the best choice for you on the Northshore in Pearl River La.

Awesome restaurant to have in this area! Big menu with wide selection of classics, their menu also includes vegetarian dishes. Walked in with a table of 12 for lunch on the weekend and they were able to seat us and give great, quick service. Chips and salsa brought to the table upon arrival.
Some dishes we enjoyed included the pollo loco, street tacos and the veggie plate.

Ordered the Carnitas Street Tacos, and Queso. Queso and Tacos are on point! Got my sinuses fixed right up! The tacos are only 3.50 a piece and are loaded with meat and onions! I didn’t get cilantro on mine, and would recommend getting them with flour tortillas instead of corn! Amazing dinner, saw a familiar server from the Slidell location, he was running to each table! If u wanna sweat and lose a few pounds while eating add the spicy red sauce that comes with the tacos it’s very good! But I do not recommend it if u don’t like spicy! The place was packed, but only a 10 minute wait for a table! I included pics of my meal and queso! Highly recommend the authentic Mexican dinner!
