Canopy + the Roots Coffee
Dalhonega, GA
March 10, 2025
Canopy + the Roots Coffee gave me the impression that community is their focus. It looks like a typical coffee shop with bright natural light, plants in the window (which I think were fake), and fantastic coffee. When you start to explore a bit you learn the shop has so much more to offer like yoga classes, live music, comedy shows, and merchandise from local artists. The barista was sweet too. University of North Georgia is right around the corner so I imagine Canopy + Roots Coffee is a second home to many of them. The cortado was placed in ceramic cup with no handles; kinda like a bowl. It cradled perfectly in my hand. It was served a little on the cool side, but it was my favorite cortado in Dahlonega.
Enjoying life one cortado at a time!
The coffee is good and the snacks are tasty. The idea of opening a place like this must have been a good one, because there was already a great crowd of happy-looking enthusiastic customers, including students and locals.
This is already looking like an excellent addition to the neighborhood and I’m expecting success for this worthwhile venture. Check it out.
The peanut butter latte hot is a must.
