Food is good. Drinks are significantly more expensive than surrounding venues. Often gets double booked for a space too small to barely accommodate one event. Owner was willing to talk poorly about me in front of me. While drinks are 30% higher than surrounding places somehow they cant seem to afford adequate air conditioning. If I not treated poorly maybe would go back, but there is a braking point.

Bald bearded bartender is nice as hell. Very hospitable & knowledgeable. Family friendly establishment with surprisingly large food menu for such a quaint nook. Welcoming to visitors passing through.

Nice little dive bar to take a break at while biking the trail. My California burger with chips and water felt a little pricey for a small humble place like this… $15 (before tip).
The burger was good, though. Really appreciate that they toast the buns, and the lettuce, tomato, and onion were VERY fresh and well portioned. For the price, I would’ve liked a slightly bigger patty to go with it, however. Overall, it was well worth the stop for me. The outdoor picnic tables were perfect for the nice sunny day.

Walked inside and nobody acknowledged us. Felt like an outsider as we were just visiting the tiny town of Welch while skiing. Music was extremely loud and it was unbearable to be inside the place. We got one drink and left. Thankfully the drink was only 3 dollars. Great experience if you want to see a small midwest bar in the middle of nowhere. Bot a good experience if you actually want to stay for a while unless you like everything I mentioned.

All I got were two bloody Mary drinks which were fine. It’s a very local, casual dive bar which isn’t intended as a dig, just don’t go in with high expectations.
