We arrived on Friday evening, and luckily we had a table reservation as there were five of us. We were welcomed by a friendly maître d’ who showed us to our table. We received the menus and placed our order quite quickly. The menu is small but versatile. The waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly – a full 10/10 (I forgot his name, but he was wearing a hat).
We ordered only main courses: steaks, cauliflower steaks, and a half chicken (which was more than enough for one person). The food arrived quickly. Everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor – the best food we’ve had in Amsterdam so far ❤️ The chicken was perfectly cooked, the meat melted in your mouth, just like the steaks.
The restaurant was full and the staff were busy, yet they still took excellent care of us. The atmosphere was lovely – you could easily hear your own company and it wasn’t noisy.
An 11/10 experience, highly recommended ❤️ Staff is the best here

This restaurant is a fantastic find tucked away off the main high street in Amsterdam. The atmosphere is brilliant with a real buzz and the place seems always busy, and with good reason!
All the food I had here on two visits was fantastic. The burger had excellent flavours, as did the ribs and steak, and everything was cooked to perfection and was of good quality. They have some very good own brand drink options as well.
A special mention about the staff, who are super friendly and seem happy to be there! Big thanks to Yasin who was happy to give us a little lesson on Dutch drinks – I now know what jenever is and how it’s traditionally meant to be consumed alongside a Fluitje of beer (see photo).
Would definitely go again when in Amsterdam, highly recommended!

Went here last night after a really poor experience at the floating cheese bar. We were still hungry and needed something with some weight. Wife and I split a burger and fries. Took 25 or so minutes to make and it was mediocre at best. We had the Magnifique I believe and was ok. Way overcooked and the only real flavor was the sauce. Ratings here are not equivalent of the food unfortunately.
The service was poor as well. Minimal interaction, nobody checking in. Just a let down.
Also, they charge 5.50 € for water which is likely child tap water which they make it seem like you’re paying for a bottle of quality water. They bring the bottle to the table in a re-used bottle with the cap removed already. They’re scamming people for $. Pretty infuriating. If I’m wrong, they need to start unsealing the bottles in front of you like most reputable places.

2nd time coming here in the last few years, brought my Dad a few years ago and now my boyfriend as I remembered how brilliant the food is – and it lived up to memory! Burgers were perfect, chips and mac & cheese were all delicious. Our server was lovely and very helpful, asked if we needed any recommendations or help and made sure we were all good throughout 🙂 Highly recommend for a proper meal with protein after a long day of walking round the city!

This was by far the best chicken burger I have ever had, only issue is that you need to book as it is very busy. There is a loverly atmosphere despite the strange decor. My boyfriend and his dad had the ribs which they shared however I would recommend if you are able to eat a lot don’t share. The chicken burger was perfectly seasoned, however you do have to order fries separately to your meal. The staff were loverly wising us to come ham after our trip to amsterdam was over. Overall loverly place, great atmosphere and amazing seasoning.

We had dinner at Cannibale Royale for a business dinner, and the overall experience was very good. Everything we tried was tasty, with the meat clearly being the highlight: well selected, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The menu works very well for a professional yet relaxed dinner setting. The restaurant is small. We had to wait 10-15 minutes to get a table, which speaks for the restaurant. I had the 600g steak and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. The beers were good. However, as I’ve already said the place is not very spacious and you sit very tightly to your neighboring table. It did not have any impact on the good impression whatsoever 🙂

Update: We visited again, and this time the experience wasn’t great. Service was lacking; the staff seemed preoccupied talking to each other even though it was very busy. The quality of the ingredients and the preparation seemed good, but it was ruined by the fact that it was served almost completely cold. It also took a very long time.
We had the caesar chicken sandwich and the cheese steak sandwich, and both were very good. The chicken sandwich had a really nice sauce, and the cheese steak was tasty, but it could have had a bit more meat. Portions of fries are quite large; one portion would have been more than enough for the two of us. The cheesecake was okay, but we didn’t enjoy the base. Service was friendly, and the decor is different and interesting. I would come back for dinner for sure.
