Absolutely love this adorable corner of the earth. there’s nothing I don’t love about it. The ambience, the lights, the smells, the atmosphere and colorful treats that are front and center to the entire shop, everything is perfect! I am so impressed with these delicious treats. The coffee, homemade syrups and excellent service make me want to go every single morning! I recommend 10/10 everyone should stop in here for a sweet treat and some warm coffee

I absolutely love this bakery! We drive about an hour for it and it never disappoints. Get there early because the best stuff goes fast. There is also a little extra parking on the street if you find the lot full (which it often is). My favorite thing is the pistachio croissants, but if you are looking for savory, I also recommend the pastries with mozzerella, basil, and sun-dried tomato.

The pastries are amazing, that’s the whole reason people go. This was the first time I tried a breakfast sandwich and it left a lot to be desired. The egg were premade quiche and everything was thrown together. Would not recommend the sandwich but pastries are amazing.

Cannelle is absolutely to die for. My boyfriend brought me here, and it’s hands down the best place for pastries in the Troy/Birmingham area. Everything feels authentically French—from the beautifully crafted pastries to the fresh flowers on every table.

I ordered a pistachio latte and a pistachio croissant, and both were absolutely divine. We also took home a variety of pastries, and every single one was mouthwatering. I loved it so much, I went back the very next day—they’re just that good.

The sandwiches are also worth mentioning—fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced. They offer delicious options like chicken, turkey, and caprese, perfect for a light lunch or snack.

The staff is warm and friendly, and the space is welcoming—even with our 5-month-old baby. It’s so nice to find a place that’s both elegant and kid-friendly. I’m genuinely so happy my boyfriend introduced me to this spot. I can’t wait to go back!

Delicious pastries and baguettes

Outdoor seating is very convenient for warm weather. Indoor seating could feel a little too small.

The staff was nice and attentive. The place wasn’t crowded when I was there.

Hard to believe that I hadn’t visited this place until now. It seems like there is so much hype about it I had to give it a try, even though I’m not a big bakery kind of guy. It was pretty much what I expected it to be. We both had croissants – mine was cheese and my wife’s was peach. They were fine, but nothing spectacular.

Cannelle Patisserie is an absolute gem and a true taste of France. Everything here is beautifully crafted, from the delicate pastries to the rich, perfectly balanced flavors. Each bite feels authentic, fresh, and made with real passion and skill.

The croissants are flaky and buttery, the desserts are elegant without being overly sweet, and the presentation is stunning. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to help you choose.

If you love high-quality French pastries and a genuine patisserie experience, Cannelle Patisserie is a must-visit. Highly recommended! ✨

The café has a wonderful, unique atmosphere. The vintage aesthetic is beautiful and gives the place real character.
• The seating arrangement needs to be reconsidered. Seating is already very limited, and a better layout would improve comfort and flow.
• Coffee quality needs improvement. The current coffee vendor is below average, and the coffee tastes overly bitter.
• While the staff are very kind and welcoming, service standards need to be reinforced.
• Tables should be cleaned immediately after guests leave, especially given the limited seating.
• Employees would benefit from clearer direction, training, and guidance on daily responsibilities.
• Pastries are consistently exceptional and a strong highlight of the café. However thw tarts are really rough to break.
• Bread recipes should be reviewed, as the bread tends to be dry.
• Infused pastries need refinement, particularly those with Mediterranean and French-inspired flavors.
• Birmingham is a very strategic location with high expectations and strong competition; the café would benefit from extra attention to quality, service, and overall presentation to fully match the area.
