I ordered a pistachio latte and a pistachio croissant, and both were absolutely divine. We also took home a variety of pastries, and every single one was mouthwatering. I loved it so much, I went back the very next day—they’re just that good.
The sandwiches are also worth mentioning—fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced. They offer delicious options like chicken, turkey, and caprese, perfect for a light lunch or snack.
The staff is warm and friendly, and the space is welcoming—even with our 5-month-old baby. It’s so nice to find a place that’s both elegant and kid-friendly. I’m genuinely so happy my boyfriend introduced me to this spot. I can’t wait to go back!
Outdoor seating is very convenient for warm weather. Indoor seating could feel a little too small.
The staff was nice and attentive. The place wasn’t crowded when I was there.
The croissants are flaky and buttery, the desserts are elegant without being overly sweet, and the presentation is stunning. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to help you choose.
If you love high-quality French pastries and a genuine patisserie experience, Cannelle Patisserie is a must-visit. Highly recommended! ✨
• The seating arrangement needs to be reconsidered. Seating is already very limited, and a better layout would improve comfort and flow.
• Coffee quality needs improvement. The current coffee vendor is below average, and the coffee tastes overly bitter.
• While the staff are very kind and welcoming, service standards need to be reinforced.
• Tables should be cleaned immediately after guests leave, especially given the limited seating.
• Employees would benefit from clearer direction, training, and guidance on daily responsibilities.
• Pastries are consistently exceptional and a strong highlight of the café. However thw tarts are really rough to break.
• Bread recipes should be reviewed, as the bread tends to be dry.
• Infused pastries need refinement, particularly those with Mediterranean and French-inspired flavors.
• Birmingham is a very strategic location with high expectations and strong competition; the café would benefit from extra attention to quality, service, and overall presentation to fully match the area.
