First time visiting Paso Robles and decided to try Cane Tiki Room for dinner. We went on a Thursday around 5:30 or 6:00 PM and were seated instantly. The ambiance was great, and the menu had a lot of options.

We chose several dishes to share. The Spam Musubi and pork and Shrimp Dumplings were both tasty but pretty basic. We also had the Orange Chicken, which was a good mix of sweet and spicy. The Spicy Green Beans had a nice kick without being too hot. The Mini Ahi Poke Tacos were also good, but again, nothing stood out as unique. Out of all the dishes, the Chicken Lettuce Wraps were probably the best and a generous portion.

The cocktail menu was impressive. I ordered the Taro Taro, which I really liked, but the glass was packed with ice, and I only got about five to eight sips before it was gone. At $16, I expected more than that.

Parking was easy on a Thursday. While the food was decent, I felt the service didn’t quite justify the price. If I went back, I would probably stick to just appetizers and then head to a local bar for drinks.

The Tiki Room is definitely a great spot for excellent cocktails and tasty snacks.

My wife and I popped in for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. The cocktail options are endless–fun, quirky, and full of character For drinks, we tried the Lapu Lapu, Green Flash, and the Scorpion (yes, it came out in
flames ). All three were refreshing and
well-balanced. On the food side, we went with the Pork & Veggie Spring Rolls, Chicken Lettuce Wraps,
Spam Musubi, and the Pork & Shrimp
Dumplings. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling for small plates. But that dipping sauce with the dumplings..you could seriously put that shhh on anything. Absolutely
amazing.

We sat at the bar, and our bartender (the only female working that day) was
fantastic–friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Wish I had
remembered her name

Fun tiki bar in the downtown area of Paso Robles! Tropical vibes, colorful lights, and a lot of cocktails to choose from. We came here after dinner at Fish Gaucho next door (highly recommend) and got a Mai Tai to end the night. A well made cocktail and would come back again. They have some more theatrical cocktails with smoke and fire that some nearby diners got that looked super fun too. Service was friendly and nice also!

What a fun find! Was looking for something to break up the wine and beer tastings and this fits the bill! They have the standards and some unique choices as well. The lettuce wraps were fantastic! Fun atmosphere and friendly service topped it all off.

The decor/vibe are really well done. It’s gimmicky, obviously, but it’s not like tacky or cheesy, if that makes sense. The ahi poke was delicious and was the perfect amount as our appetizer before getting dinner next door. I got the Lapu Lapu cocktail because I thought the pig cup was adorable. It was pretty boozy tasting, which was fine because I like rum, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. My partner got the one with pineapple whiskey and ginger beer; it was a little sweet, but refreshing and yummy. We were there for his birthday, and they brought out a fun shot for him! We’ll definitely be going back.

Nice decor but too dark, and a bit small. Food was okay, the string beans were tasty, although maybe too spicy for some folks. I don’t understand why they use saucer size plates and sporks, makes for an awkward dining experience. Its metered parking unless you park a few blocks away. I might go back for one of their fancy cocktails.

Fun Saturday date night. The theming was great. The drinks were good. The food was ok. We had 3 drinks and 3 appetizers. The lettuce cups were very but the spam musubi and potstickers were over cooked. If you’re in Paso and don’t want more wine, give this place a shot.

This was my first time visiting, and overall, the experience was very positive. The food was great, and the service—especially given the circumstances—was excellent. Our waitress, Justice, did an outstanding job. She was managing three different sections: one with five guests, another with sixteen, and a third with ten. Despite the heavy workload, she remained attentive and professional throughout.
What stood out to me, however, was that while Justice was clearly overwhelmed, I noticed other waitstaff not actively assisting—some were simply sitting and not contributing. In a corporate environment, this kind of inaction while on the clock might be considered time theft. More concerning is that these individuals may still receive a share of the pooled tips, despite not pulling their weight.
Suggestion: Management might consider adjusting how tips are distributed or implementing a system that encourages more balanced teamwork during busy shifts. Recognizing and rewarding those who go above and beyond, like Justice, would help foster a fairer and more motivated work environment.

As a tikiphile, I had to check this place out on a recent trip through Paso. While the service was decent, the drinks were mediocre and the music, well the music was not anything you would expect to hear in a tiki bar. No exotica, no surf, no island music. Instead it was a mess of, well, I don’t quite know what it was. While the decor was decent, the sun shining through the front door dulled the vibe a bit. Would be nice if it was a bit darker inside which would help set the escapism theme most tiki bars are know for.

My friends and I got to go check out this great new place in Paso Robles. Cane Tiki Room…
It has a real cool vibe, and a friendly staff… Although our bartender was very slow, and seemed to be a little confused about what he was doing (chalk it up to probably new to the job). We weren’t able to try the food yet, but all agreed it looked amazing. We only had a short time there, and we really wanted to try the Mai Tai. It was not a traditional Mai Tai like we were all expecting/hoping for It wasn’t horrible, just not what we were craving from a cool new Tiki bar… It had a lot of mint and half an already squeezed lime as a garnish. I’ve never seen a Mai Tai like that, and I’ve had many of them from all over the country. It was more reminiscent of some sort of Mojito instead of a Mai Tai, and we were sadly left wanting that familiar dark rum flavor, of the traditional Mai Tai. We will definitely go back, and try other things… Hopefully they add a traditional Mai Tai with the dark rum to the menu very soon. Until then, my friends and I will have to find another drink option.
