Cane River Commissary, just outside of Natchez, was honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, and every dish felt like it was made with real care and flavour. I especially loved the meat pies, the po’boy, and the jambalaya — each one was incredible in its own way.
The service made the experience even better. Our server was warm and welcoming, and the bartender was amazingly attentive and friendly. It felt like the kind of place where they genuinely want you to have a great time.
Between the amazing food and the wonderful people, this is the kind of restaurant you remember long after you leave. I’d go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

My son took me to eat here todayand it was amazing. First off, it looks like a house turned into a restaurant and it’s really cool. Very cozy little place. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed them. And the food… amazing! And we tried several different things. It tasted like going to someone’s house to eat. Like everything was made with real ingredients which feels rare these days. I would drive an hour again just to eat here. I highly recommend trying this place.

Blaise made our 1st visit a memorable one and the food was also wonderful.
The jambalaya and two meat pies were both filling and perfectly seasoned. Bread pudding with praline sauce was To-Go because we just couldn’t fit another bite in.
We noticed hot sauce bottles weren’t on the tables but after the first bite of everything, you understand that you won’t need any.

Food was delicious. Atmosphere was good.
Super small so don’t be shocked when you pull up. Total of maybe 13 tables/booths. Out in the middle of nowhere.
Table was dirty but they food made up for it. Small bar area. Definitely recommend.

A perfect spot to get out of town and enjoy delicious food! The fries, cheddar bites, artichoke wantons and meat pies were spin on – each with their own sauce! Staff felt like connections with old friends! Can’t wait to return.

This place is great! My family and I were out all day visiting the historic plantations on the Cane River and stopped here for a late lunch. There was a tiny wait as expected since this is the only restaurant in the immediate locale. There’s a sign stating that the wait for food can take a while since they’re operating out of a small kitchen. We ordered for five people and the wait wasn’t too bad. The servers were amazing and the drinks were great as well. The prices are a little high, but you get good quality food and a fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend if you’re in the area!
