What a warm welcome while on the road. Fred and Sharon made me feel like family. The food was fresh and tasty. If you’re looking for a home-cooked meal when in the country, it’s a must stop in! Thank you Fred!

This is one of my favorite local restaurants. The food is always amazing and Fred and his staff are so personable. The restaurant is historic and tastefully renovated and decorated. My most recent visit included a beautiful charcuterie board and crab and shrimp bisque that was out of this world delicious. This is a great location if you need a small meeting room or a large room for a party. And DON’T leave without trying their famous cupcakes!!
It is too soon to leave another review, so I am updating this one to rave about the Bruce High School Class of 74 reunion held at Candlewyck Sept 14. Once again, Fred and his staff were AMAZING. Our milestone celebration totally rocked! The buffet was a choice of Beef Tips over noodles or Turkey dinner. Fred included menu options that we didn’t even ask for. ALL DELICIOUS! The desserts were beautifully displayed and enjoyed by all. The servers and bartender were attentive and made sure we had a great time. We will certainly be back for our 55th. THANKS, Fred!

I love this place! They have chicken cordon blue, which is one of my most favorite things. The atmosphere was great and the service was so nice.

My son and I stopped in on a cross country road trip from NJ to CA and we had our dog with us so needed a to go order. The staff was amazingly helpful and fast and prepped our mozzarella sticks, chicken Alfredo and stuffed chicken to go. The food was delicious and the service was great.

You get to pay high price cause its a nice building, its unfortunately one of “those” places where they try to make the food look really fancy but like most places that go based on visuals the food quality is matched by average places for a fraction of whats charged here.

This was our first time visiting the Candlewick, and it definitely won’t be the last. This place has become our new favorite spot whenever we visit our grandson. Fred, the owner and manager, is one of the nicest people I’ve met in a while. The waitress was wonderful, and the food was absolutely amazing. I want to extend my gratitude to Fred for the fantastic lunch today.

Only disappointment was that we were told the veggie was fresh green beans. Our plates were placed in front of us with broccoli! Now, we like broccoli, but chose the fresh green beans. When I asked, she apologized and said they were out. Their entire dining room probably seats no more than 25 or 30, with only two tables occupied when we entered. I feel like the server should have known they were out. She offered to remove the broccoli from our plates; never offered an alternative or cost reduction. Otherwise, the food was hot and good. Beautiful place to dine.
