I love this restaurant and so glad this location is 10 minutes from my house. Everything they do is good but I driven to the grilled quail. It’s always hard for me to not fill up on them. Stephanie, the bartender does a terrific job. Excellent service and very friendly.

Nice spot with plenty of parking. The food was fine for the price. Salsas were really good and chips were fresh. The best enchilada was the brisket one! House margaritas were good. The tres leches was AMAZING though. Service was super fast and everyone was really friendly.

I took my wife here to celebrate her birthday when this location opened, it was our first time. The Chef, Samual recommended the ribs. I can honestly say they are the best ribs ive ever had. Tender, Mexican flavor with a hint of smoke. The margaritas were large, full of flavor and very well made. The staff was very attentive and Samual was very polite and friendly and gave us excellent recommendations. We will be returning again soon. This is one of our new favorite restaurants in Houston.

I normally go to their Montrose location and decided to try the new location on Bellaire. I was not informed there was a separate charge for a sample of their salsas. I paid $2 & $3 for the two salas I tried which I did not like. I would have appreciated if the server commented that before agreeing on bringing out the samples.

We got there right at crunch time but were not disappointed with the food. Thankfully they have the staff to pick up after the other if needed. We had the ceviche (spicy), fish, and queso. If you’re looking for Tex Mex food to hit the spot, this will do. The brisket queso was definitely unique.

This is our second visit to Candente in Bellaire and unfortunately, it will be our last. During our previous visit, we also faced significant delays in getting service, but we decided to give it another chance today.
We arrived and were seated at 3:39 PM luckily I happened to take a photo of the decor which was time stamped. There were only four or five tables occupied, and there seemed to be plenty of staff. Despite this, no one came to greet us or offer drinks or even tortilla chips. We sat there for 18 minutes without any acknowledgment from any of the staff, as they walked by without checking in.
Frustrated by the lack of service, we ultimately decided to leave. It’s disappointing to see such poor service at this location. Horrible service—we won’t be returning again.

I decided to check out this new place, because it looked promising, but was unimpressed by the food. The food was not nearly as good as Ninfa’s or Picos (In loving memory), and was very spicy. We were seated at a booth next to a little serving station, so I constantly had clattering noises right behind me, and the room was very loud.

Came here with a party of 4 and the restaurant was pretty much empty, we asked for a both and we were told that those are for parties of 5 or 6. Since the restaurant was pretty much empty I asked the hostess if we could sit in the booth, and she said no and I asked if they were reserved and she said no, so we ended up leaving.
We love Candente but will not return to the Bellaire location.
