Cancun is a solid spot if you’re looking for good, plentiful food at a great price—especially during lunch. The portions are generous, and the lunch menu offers some really good deals that make it easy to get a full meal without spending much. The cheese dip is definitely a standout and one of my favorites on the menu.
The only downside is the atmosphere, which isn’t as inviting or lively as some other places. It feels a bit plain and could use a little updating. Still, the quality and quantity of the food make up for it, and it’s a reliable choice when you want a satisfying meal.

Will not be back, the best thing about the whole meal was the taco salad I ordered was in the shape of taco instead of round. The guacamole on my taco salad was brown and the meat needed seasoning seriously bad. Wait staff was friendly.

Will not be back. Didn’t even finish our food. It was that bad. Got home 30 min later and husband throw up from eating there. The soda tasted like straight carbonation. My food was cooked so bad that it was jerky.

nothing but unprofessional it was 40$ for 2 orders of chips and side of Queso lady at desk wouldn’t tell me how much 1 order cost even pointed it out to her on the menu to show it was over charged and told me I don’t have to eat there she was literally flipping the bags with the cup Queso upside down! As well as the chips with the salsa told her I didn’t want still Proceeded to put them in the bag with the chips And flip all of them upside down! i paid for my food and asked for a Receipt and she told me they were short on paper I said well I will take a written one and she printed me out a receipt and rolled her eyes at me because I asked for a receipt I really have spoken highly of this place this used to be my favorite restaurant in Lake Charles has this place went down and gotten money hungry sad to say we will not be stepping foot in here again

This place does not deserve 1 star. I called and asked did they sell beef tamales. They said yes. Once I arrived I asked again did they sell beef tamales. They said yes. I placed my order totaling $37, for 9 “beef tamales”, chili, cheese, and sour cream. Once I arrived back at work. I open the bag and this is what’s inside. “See pick below”. The tamales were not cooked fully. The beef was clearly not inside the tamales. I was so disappointed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE IT YOU WANT BEEF TAMALES. The restaurant is really old and has an odor too.

Brought my dad for his birthday. We got there and hour before close and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I called my dad the birthday boy and at the end they brought a dessert for him and sang happy birthday without being asked. The food was really good.

I have been coming here with family for 30 years. This is one of those places that lives in my heart with memories of my family – some who have passed away and some who still gather here.
The Padilla platter is one of my all time favorite meals. However, the last visit I made (about a week ago), I was a bit underwhelmed. The air conditioning was clearly not working well, the restaurant was hot and uncomfortable – even with the window unit fans and standing fans running. There was only one or two other tables in the place, but we had to seek out a server multiple times for drink refills/having our orders taken. I ordered the fajita taco salad and was disappointed with how many pieces of the meat were inedible because of fat/gristle. I’m hoping this was maybe just an odd day. Cancun is a Lake Charles staple.
