We had a group of 12. We went to the brand new location.
Had it reserved for a week. When we got there they acted surprised. I look at the calendar behind the counter and had to point it out that it was on the calendar.
We were seated in a table area that had food scraps on the floor and chairs. Some chicken,some limes,napkins, other smashed up unidentified foods.
We ask to be seated at the cleaner area 5 feet away. That lady walked away and never came back just totally ignored. The server came and we asked if they normally seat people in dirty areas with food waste all over,napkins and greasy prints on tables and chairs….the server looked me right in the eye and said “yes,it’s normal.What do you want to drink”. At least he was honest I guess.
That’s the last money they will get from the people in the group.
If they are not ashamed to sit customers in a dirty area in the dining room…..what does it look like behind those kitchen doors.
Avoid this place if you like to eat in a clean environment.

First time visiting and a great experience! Restaurant was beautiful and colorful, service was prompt and food was fantastic! We enjoyed the Margaritas and looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend when in the Tomah area!

Cancun Bay was an unexpected Mexican delight in Tomah. The food was good however we were expecting cuisine that was more authentic to Mexico. Our server was very attentive and checked with us several times to see how we were doing. We would visit again, however, might try something different. Only three stars for atmosphere because it was in need of a paint job.

I’ll start off with the Food was AMAZING! The margaritas were huge and priced well. The atmosphere had Mexican music playing and decor took you to Mexico as soon as you walked in the door. The only con was our waiter didn’t speak very good English and we questioned whether or not he knew what we asked. But the food was so good we quickly didn’t mind the language barrier.

A must visit place in town. Warm atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food came out very fast, less than 5 mins from ordering. I ordered the Burrito Rio Bravo and it was amazing. A giant burrito filled with steak, chicken, and shrimps. Will definitely visit again.

Stopped at Cancun Bay on our way back from the Twin Cities. Ordered a burrito and taco and of course got the complimentary chips and salsa. Food was just okay. Meat filling tasted a little on the sweet side. Salsa could have used a little more zing.

Wow! Portion size was phenomenal I don’t remember the exact name of the burrito I ordered, but I got 3 meals out of it! The service for the most part was welcoming and friendly.

Excellent and friendly service. We had a large group of about 20 and they didnt seem phased. The decor is really cool. Looks like walking the streets of old Mexico! The food is ok. I admittedly am not a fan of Mexican cuisine, but as Mexican restaurants go, this one is definitely worth checking out.
