A wide range of options at this restaurant. Yes, you order at the counter or kiosk but they bring the food to you and they clear the table. The portions are generous. Food is cooked perfectly with seasoning that isn’t overpowering. I appreciate that items like black beans and coleslaw are put in little dishes so your meat stays separate. The seats are comfortable and napkins are on the table. You should definitely try this restaurant. Like us, you’ll be back.

This place is Alpaca’s worst nightmare. Everything was better. The service was fine for a busy Saturday. The chicken was moist and delicious. The fried rice and plantains were the best ive ever had anywhere. The prices are right in line with comparable entrees elsewhere. Half a chicken with 2 sides for $15. Portions were all correct. My only recommendation would be to have someone wipe down the tables, sweep, and check the restrooms for cleanliness throughout the day.

Very disappointed in the food. The hamburger was so dry. There was no juice to it. The rice wasn’t cooked all the way. The chicken wrap was good but very hard to eat. Wish was more stripes. French fries were the best part.

I had the half chicken with fried Yuca as well as rice and beans. Everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. In my opinion this is far better than Alpaca and I like Alpaca. If you haven’t tried this you’re missing out! Price was great too. Only about $16 total for everything shown. I’ll definitely be back!

Great food but they need to fix their ordering system or amend the menu. If you are to get a combo(includes a side and drink) you would be lead to believe it only cost $4 but you will be charged for the side separately. I choose the cheapest sandwich hoping it would be $15 but it ended up being $20. Hope they fix that I would love to come by and try each thing in the menu !

Second time visiting, the Canastas Chicken, first time the food was okay, especially the chicken, service okay, but needs more training. This second time visiting Jan 22, 2026, was a different experience with the food. It was a long wait, the chicken was okay, I like the charcoal taste. The sides that I choose were horrible, green beans and the tostones. For a side with the meal a lot of green beans were served (because they were almost spoiled, and I didn’t eat). The tostones, were so hard that they were the texture of a chip. I think that they were fried at least four times. It will be a very long time before I will go to this eatery again. I know that they can improve….

Tried Canastas Chicken in Wake Forest and was blown away. The Peruvian rotisserie chicken was incredibly juicy with perfectly seasoned, crispy skin. The sweet plantains were caramelized and delicious, and the cilantro rice was flavorful and fluffy. The green and yellow sauces were amazing, creamy, bold, and the perfect complement to everything on the plate. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food. Definitely coming back and highly recommend giving this place a try!

Kid behind the counter in literal goggles. Completely unprofessional. Ordered food and it took 16 minutes and NO ONE was in the place. Look how sloppy it’s prepared. WHY? Ordered a bowl and when it was finally convenient for the kid to make it, it only took 1 minute. TO MANAGEMENT: FIRE THAT KID. To everyone else. Don’t support this place at all.
