Dive bar for sure but super clean. Friendly bartenders, though they may initially seem a bit stoic.
I got the chicken sandwich with waffle fries. The fries were great, but holy salt level!! I had to use a good amount of ketchup just to calm down the salt enough to enjoy. Guys, reign it in by half, and this is from a salt lover. The chicken sandwich was really good but I definitely wasn’t expecting the heat that came with it. For me, it was a welcome surprise as I love spicy. But for others, it may not be so welcome. Would I eat hear again, likely for the quality of everything even if my heart may hate me for the salt alone.

We just visited for our first time today. Great little menu and the food was great, I had the Canary Burger and my girlfriend had the waffle w/ chicken strips. Super filling. Gabriela was working and she just made the visit so special, easy going personality and knows the local area very well. 10 out of 10 we will revisit.

Patrick is the best! He is always so warm and personable, and I always feel welcome. This place is LGBTQ-friendly, and the karaoke nights on Thursdays bring in an awesome blend of patrons. (We love a single-stall bathroom!) It’s a great place to chill with friends and play some pool on a weeknight.

Chicken sandwich was so good! A really nice balance between sweet, savory, sour, and acid! The chicken and waffles was also so good! The waffle tastes similar to a fall inspired waffle would be with hints of clove, allspice, and nutmeg. Very nice texture fluffy inside with crisp outside. The breading of the chicken is what really makes the dishes stand out, with a nice pepper flavor in there. The music was fun stoner rock. We visited on a Sunday evening, wasn’t very busy two other tables but we had arrived at 7:30pm. I think it seems like more of a bar than restaurant aesthetically but judging on the items it should be more restaurant than bar!

I got the spicy chicken sandwich with fries and it was delicious. I came here to work for an afternoon. Various seating options including couches, high tops, regular tables and bar seating. There’s also a pool table. Great customer service!

I was just in the Canary and I was accused of doing something I never did. I haven’t been in the canary for weeks, and was only in there briefly for a beer. They claim I did something that I did not do, and the bartender was extremely rude. I’ve only lived here a few months and this is just ludacris. And it’s not even a very friendly or even appetizing bar to walk into. The decor sucks, the bartender sucks, and I don’t recommend this to anyone. FYI, none of the pictures you see our current they’re all a few years old. The place looks terrible.

Words cannot express the joy I felt biting into my fried Brussel sprouts, but I couldn’t resist trying the tomato confit bruschetta! And to make things even better I moved on to try the chicken and waffles, one bite of chicken melted in my mouth and I had no idea that the waffle was only going to continue that mouth watering explosion of taste flavors.. plus!!! The pink starburst cocktail was the best one I’ve had from any local bar around! The mandarin in the Brussels felt like little bursts of flavor! Man.. don’t hesitate.. it might have a small menu, but it has a mighty taste!
