We had a nice Valentine’s Day dinner at Canal Street Grill. We started by sharing the Greek meatballs and mussels, both were excellent and highly recommended.
The crab cakes were very good, mostly crab meat with very little filler. However, the pistachio salmon was a bit of a letdown. It was more of a pistacchio sauce than a crust, and the salmon was quite dry (could have used 3-4 minutes less on the heat). The pistacchio sauce was good, just too much of it.
Also, if you’re seated by
the windows with a canal view, keep your coat handy! It gets very cold by the glass. Overall, a decent experience.

My hubby and, I ordered the chicken park sandwich (crispy chicken) both of our sandwiches the chicken was so dry we couldn’t cut them or eat them. The fries were tasty tho. It was pretty upsetting. Straight into the trash. We did get them to go and, didn’t reheat them. I won’t be back.

good variety of food and nice location, would come again. the chicken florentine sandwich was verrry spinach heavy in flavor, not bad but avoid if that’s not what you prefer. Greek dip trio appetizer and calamari were very good

First time at Canal Street Grille and we were impressed. Good to have a nice local place with great service. Food was good. The place is a square room so everyone’s conversation is heard by everyone, perhaps having background noise or music might help keep some privacy, but will definitely visit again!!

First off, the service was impeccable. We were given good direction on what to order. The menu was clear on what was Gluten Free, which is important to me. The restaurant was nicely appointed and comfortable. BYOB was not a problem but short wine glasses could have been improved. After an appetizer of Dolmas, the food was served quickly. I had the Moussaka. Thr main issue that our party had was that the vegetables served came right out of a can and were not what I’d call restaurant quality. It must not be an issue to others as the restaurant was filling up as we left.

Online ordering has great descriptions and options to choose from per dish. Purchased mussels appetizer, calamari appetizer, greek salad with stuffed grape leaves, and lamb gyro and chicken orzo soup. Everything was delicious and fresh, definitely hit the spot! Staff was super nice and friendly. Dining room looked clean but did not dine in this time. Parking lot is a little small but seemed to be more parking adjacent. Will 100% order from here again. Spent about $75 and fed 3 people.

We have walked past Canal Street Grille many times and finally chose to dine here. The decor is elegant and exudes a charming ambiance. We arrived 40 minutes before closing and were promptly seated without any delay.
Our server was highly attentive and efficient, ensuring timely service. We began with the jumbo shrimp appetizer, which we found enjoyable. For our main courses, we selected the Branzino filet and the Chicken Gyro accompanied by a Greek salad and a side of rice. The Branzino was exceptional and stood out as the highlight of our meal. While the Chicken Gyro was satisfactory, it did not fully meet our expectations. We anticipated thinly sliced chicken in pita, but it was served as grilled chicken breast in pita with tzatziki sauce, onions, cucumber, and tomato. Overall, our dining experience was positive.

Nice little find. Good quality ingredients, not a huge menu but a good amount of choice. Some not-so-Greek things to cater to everyone. Didn’t see their desserts listed but can’t wait to try them. Could do more with the interior design but there’s a fine line between Greece and GREECE!!! Maybe best to keep it simple.

I have been coming here for years and the food, service and atmosphere are all amazing.
My nutritionist at inspire nutrition Brianna recommended the place as one of the healthiest restaurants- wonderful and fresh Mediterranean dishes are on the menu!
I have celebrated Mother’s Day and birthdays here. We also catered for my daughter’s baptism and were very happy with the meals
The chicken parm is my husbands favorite and out of all the local places- theirs is truly the best!
