Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a warm & welcoming environment. There’s limited indoor seating, and no outdoor seating. Make sure to come early because their dinner rush starts at 6pm!
Service: Everyone was amazing, but Bonnie was above & beyond exceptional! She’s very courteous and attentive. Bonnie gave us their most popular recommendations. She’s knowledgeable about the menu and explained everything with detail.
Everything we ordered:
Appetizers:
1) Popcorn Chicken – These were so delicious! The breading tasted as the usual popcorn chicken should taste. I ordered these spicy, and oh .. these were spicy.
2) Green Onion Pancake – The perfect simple appetizer. Such a comfort food that I love. No need for any sauce!
3) Steamed Shanghai Dumplings – Wooo careful for the hot soup that might squirt out! Bonnie told us these were hand made. The exterior was soft, and the meat was good!
Entrees:
4) French Style Beef Filet Mignon – The beef was cooked perfectly! These were surprisingly soft and not too chewy!
5) Canaan Special Fish Fillet – The fish was cooked well and absolutely flavorful! It had a nice glaze to it.
6) Salt n Pepper Pork Chop – This was my favorite dish out of everything! Now I know why it’s so popular! These were definitely savory & sweet; emphasis on sweet. It had a syrup-like taste.
Noodle & rice:
7) Braised Pork on Rice – Another comfort dish that I love! These reminded me of my ba noi’s thit kho minus the brown egg.
8) Dan Dan noodles – They were not shy with the spiciness or peanut sauce! All the flavors came through! The noodles were also cooked well.
Drinks:
9) Jasmine green tea – Very refreshing. This does not come with sugar, but you can add it with the sugar from the table.
10) Thai tea – Can’t go wrong with one of the classics. This wasn’t overly sweet. Equal portions of tea and creamer.
Pricing: My bf and I enjoyed everything! We left satisfied and fulfilled! We’ll be back for more!
Vegetable Chow Mein was delicious with lots of veggies and pork.
Mongolian Beef was tender with onions and slightly spicy.
This place is very popular. Service is very good and the servers are very nice.
The staff was very nice and attentive and helpful. The shop itself is a bit small so on busy nights, it might get packed. They also do takeout.
