Social Profile:

Restaurant on the small pedestrian street few lines away from the promenade with a separate bar for locals and their tapas and simple room of 30-35m2 for dining.
We booked a table over phone a day before and it was waiting for us. Mainly Spanish visitors that March Sunday.
Menu is definitely on fish and mariscos. Lobster is a king with Caldereta at 85€ a person (min 2 asked to order). My choice was a tasty grilled Cap Roig, kid enjoyed Calamar a la andaluza. Plus Scallops under wonderful garlic olive oil sauce with herbs!

Main courses starting 23-25€. Paellas and rice dishes well above 30€ a person… in Mallorca 17-18€, but here is a remote location and logistics have to be paid off too.
No kids menu.

Desserts were like 5-6 on choice, we liked one chocolate pastel shared between two of us!

Nice place… but somehow I would love to get lost among locals next time.

One of the best restaurants. The dishes are very fresh. You can ask them what kind of special seafood they have on that day, and then you will get a wonderful dish for sure.
Btw, I didn’t take the photo but please you must try their homemade croquettes!

My favorite restaurant where to eat paella in Menorca, the owner of the restaurant, Marco, is always very kind and his paella really good. The restaurant is not so big, most of the tables are outside, and it is strongly recommended to reserve in advance a table. Service also very good, no waste of time and staff always present. Very important, if you want to taste paella, you must order it at time of booking of the table!

The seafood platter was disappointing as the star of the dish, the lobster, was rubbery/overcooked on the body while the claws were undercooked.
At €70 per person I would not recommend it, I would suggest ordering individual dishes (but not the lobster!).
The service was very good as was the atmosphere

The croquettas that we were served were still frozen in the center. Without apologizing, the waitress took them away and put them in the microwave, not including the two we took a bite of, instead of bringing back fresh ones.
Finally we had to pay full price for half the dish.

The rest of the food was okay.

Just reopened and very quiet in Fornells, so the atmosphere was lacking, but this was to be expected. Tried to find a menu online before visiting to see if any of the lobster and shellfish dishes which I absolutely love would be available for one person (partner allergic to some mariscos). Sadly no luck. Everything I craved and had so looked forward to was only for two people. So pescaditos fritos to start. Tasty, but no garnish at all, lemon had to be requested. Mains were monkfish for me and Menorcan lamb chops for partners. Mine…potatoes stone cold, partner … delicious fried potatoes. No condiments on the table or visible to go get myself and waiter had gone away, so no chance.
I’m sure that when they hit their stride in the summer months it is wonderful if two of you want the same main course. For me, I can safely say there are restaurants that easily surpass this and I will return to my favourite ones in the future.

Excellent and very attentive service throughout. We had the “Caldereta de langosta con arroz” for 2, accompanied by some white wine. The waiter/waitress looked after us, the head chef came out at some point and spent a few minutes with guests at each of the tables, and before getting the bill we got a complimentary “Pomada” coctail (local gyn + lemonade). We could have not chosen a better place to dine in Fornells.
