Really cute location! Went with a group and got a decent spread of the menu. We enjoyed the burgers, the phillies, and the pimento cheese sandwich, but the fries weren’t my favorite. Another person in our group got the quesadilla and wasn’t impressed with the size of it. They also used corn tortillas. The burger had a good sized patty and was cooked medium, which I like. However, it was a bit expensive for lunch (~$16 for a burger, fries, and drink). I will probably go back when I want a flavorful burger though.

Mostly caters to Wake students, but they are very inviting for neighborhood locals. Great place to have an early afternoon beer.

A cool little place near campus of Wake Forest University, it’s a burger, dogs and fries place in what was once an old gas station.

If you aren’t in college, don’t bother going. This is literally school cafeteria grade food and equivalent service. Two different kinds of fries, foreign objects in chicken. It was a weird place.

I can’t remember when I’ve had a more disgusting lunch. I went with my husband, I got the mushroom and swiss burger and my husband had the Carolina burger. They were $14 and $13 respectively. I upgraded my side to onion rings for $2.50 more. Both burgers were overcooked and had a funky taste. The sides were nothing special at all. For that price I was expecting something like you get at Village Tavern or Firebird’s but I would have rather spent $5 at McDonald’s or a hospital cafeteria. Besides the bad food, service was mediocre as you have to bus your own table, and there were cobwebs in the corner. We ended up throwing half of our food away and no one asked how our meal was. All around horrible!

Food is really good, beer selection is ok, canned beer selection, which you can drink there, is better than what’s on draft at times. Bonus points for having Booneshine on draft!

Brunch Sundays!! Breakfast Platter, got your eggs (anyway you want them), got your sausage (Juicy and Savory), got your Pancakes (Fresh Strawberrys, Grapes, Honey Dew, and Cantaloupe), and a Tropical Mamosa to drink. I think this Awesome, gotta support!

Neat vibe, unique place. Coffee was pretty good. Would have like more homemade syrups. Monin syrups just don’t taste great. Overall pretty good though.

I’m only giving two stars because the BLT was good. Let’s move on.

Disappointing… known for pimento cheese based ensembles but had run out of pimento cheese on my visit on Saturday at 6:30 pm. Burger not to order… missed having mayonnaise. Comped with fried Mac and cheese which was over cooked. Burger okay, slightly peppery.
