Best club sandwich. Thing was a beast. Substituted tomato with onion and any other restaurant will give you like 3 strands of onion, they give me 2 full slices each layer and it was phenomenal. Thick cut bacon on each layer etc. Annoyed that I’ve lived in Gate city for years and never bothered to stop in until the other day. And the home fries with seasoned salt in jars at the table topped off the perfection. Will definitely be returning.

Drove up from Rogersville, Tn (22miles) First timers here. Such a nice home feeling and gathering place to sit and enjoy a good meal. Staff are so nice. They treat you like they have always known you. Can’t wait to come back.

I have been traveling from NC to be with my sick mother and I needed to pick up for my family and this place has been so very kind to me. A couple of times I have called an hour before I am to arrive in town and they always have my food ready fresh and hot. I appreciate the wonderful guy & girl that work the day shift. The food is so yummy! Today I had time to stop in and eat a delicious banana split and WOW!! I just love a old school diner where you can set at the counter. I highly recommend the cheeseburger and fries just so good ! Thank you to your wonderful team !!

I was pretty impressed with the service and the quality of the food. It was all good, they have daily specials and the ice cream is soft serve. This super burger was huge, fried okra and fries. I got the daily special, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, slaw, and Mac and cheese. I’m picky about my slaw but this was awesome, teased homemade.

The rating I gave was on my 7/26/25 visit. My food wasn’t right that I ordered and they didn’t seem to act like it mattered some of my food was way to hot while other parts were barely warm, my husband had food missing from his order and instead of making a huge deal of it and how bad the service and workers were tonight , we decided we would make sure our favorite server is there next time. She at least checked to make sure everything was good not just act like we didn’t matter. Normally everything is great but this is twice that it’s not been good and one of them times was take out. The staff there tonight was ridiculous and two of the kitchen workers just stared us up and down..

Been here now. Twice good food each time I’ve been there friendly, fast, courteous service makes this hometown restaurant a place to go visit while you’re visiting the area and or if you live here. I had a cheeseburger and some onion rings. Wow! Were they the best hamburger? Juicy cheesy mouth-watering, lightly golden brown onion ring the way they’re meant to be melted in your mouth. Cold Pepsi and nice smiles from the locals. Well certainly be back again.

This was our first dinner here, we had breakfast last year and it’s a great little diner. Food is prepared fresh and both times it has been great. Very friendly and just all around good service, highly recommend.
