10/4/25 first time here. Found this place while wandering around with my morning coffee… So i looked it up and saw the reviews. I walked back later & picked up an Italian cheese steak for lunch (to go). It was really good! I will certainly return here the next time I’m in Philly.
Friendly, family run place, i love that.
They even had torrone for sale! (Must buy some next time)
Small seating area but that’s ok!

Good evening Google Family. I visited for the first time today. I needed some food since I was so hungry. I wanted to eat before I saw the movie that I selected at the Film Society East which was showing at 4 pm and 7 pm. I opted to see the 7 pm slot of Klute, starring Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland. I looked at the Campo’s menu and I decided on a chef salad with no onions with italian dressing. I asked for French dressing but French was not a choice here. Scott was the gentleman who assisted me with my order. There was no one else in the restaurant. I asked Scott where was everyone? Scott said they had been slow because of the snowy weather. I was happy to have the place to myself. Also when I looked back at the menu, I saw that they had loaded potato and bacon soup. I almost jumped for joy!! I was so so happy because that is my all time favorite soup. I only wish that I could make it like they do. Chef salad was $15.00, soup was $6.50 and the sub total was $21.50, tax was $1.72 and my total was $23.22 and I paid by cash. I notice when you pay by cash, most places will give you a discount. I enjoyed everything, especially the loaded potato soup. It tasted especially good and filling on a cold, cold night like this. Scott was so friendly and nice and I enjoyed conversing with him. Amanda, another employee, came over and she was talking as well. Amanda was friendly too. I had a great experience here. I hope business picks up for them once this weather goes back to normal. I had a great experience here, eating and talking with Scott and Amanda. I had already paid and then I asked Amanda for two bags since I had to conceal my food since I was walking back to the Film Society East and they do not allow outside food. No movie theaters, that I know of, allow outside food items from other restaurants. You just have to sneak it in, like I do in my bag. Have a good night, workout, be active and mobile, fit and fabulous especially for people over 50 years of age.

Cool little spot that has been around for a long time. Service was awesome. Cheesesteak was pretty good. Meat was fresh, shaved ribeye, not chopped or minced into oblivion. The seeded roll was ok. I think Liscio’s, pretty thick, not bad, but not what I like.
It had the right amount of ribeye on it. I would rather have the quantity of quality ribeye that the put on here, and have a great tasting sandwich that leaves me feeling ok after.
Some places loadup with with a pile of minced, low quality meat and cheese, leaving a brick in your stomach. Not here, the ingredients are top quality.
About $22 total for the sandwich, with a couple of toppings, and a glass bottle of Coke. I will be back again, but I will probably ditch the seeded roll, and go for a fountain soda instead of the $5 glass bottle coke.

Absolutely amazing! The service was excellent and the cheese steaks are great. All made by the coolest guys in Philly! The owners are great and we had a great time talking to them. It was a full house for dinner but we got a table for 4. The stockyard was the best. We also got the works, mac-n-cheese, and homemade cookies.
We came from Texas to visit the historic area and heard about Campos. We had to try it and so greatfull that we did. Definitely putting this place on our list when we come back.

I came to visit town and I was craving a good cheeestake for a quick dinner. Not the best I’ve ever had but what makes it worth it is their fast paced service and welcoming presence. The lady at the front was very kind and helped me. I would highly recommend for good service and quick food. Love me a greasy Cheesestake.

The cheese steak I had at Campo’s is my new standard. I got the classic Philly cheese steak and it was amazing. My wife and daughter tried some other versions which looked good, lots of choices. The interior is small but really well done. Nice place.

We just tried this place at the recommendation of our tour guide and it was awesome! Excellent cheese steaks! The lady who served us is part of the family that owns it and she was so nice. She told us that her mom makes the potato salad so we tried it. It was unique but in a VERY GOOD way. If you’re in town, try them out

Family run business since 1947. Friendly family greeted us at the counter and let us know which family member made each item. It’s a little crowded for seating, but that’s to be expected in a small older space.

The cheesesteaks were perfect. Big but not gargantuan, savory but not drippy, with bread that must have fallen from heaven. Mia was really sweet and we loved the family owned vibe. Our new regular cheesesteak stop in Philly from now on!
