If you are looking for great pizza this place won’t disappoint. We have had the wood-fired pizza and is was…well….fire! Interesting and creative pizza choices and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Was expecting a little more, but not bad. I recently came across an article discussing the best pizza joints in every state. Camporosso was cited as the best in KY. My wife and I didn’t find any component of our visit overly positive or negative and we did finish all our food and drinks. Just seemed to be a minor execution issue, or two.
The good:
-Service, food, atmosphere were all perfectly acceptable, but no standouts.
The badish:
-The outdoor dining space was stressful. Very heavy traffic on the road that the patio sits on.
-Personal preference – My wife and I just don’t care for that charred pizza crust flavor, but other than that the pizza cheese, crust texture, and sauce were solid. There is another crust option called “Americano”, but I’m not sure if that style also has the charred areas.
-The meatballs were edible but not great. Flavor was fine, but texture was not good. Meatballs were over mixed and were firm as opposed to tender.
-My wife’s mule was not good due to the lime being smashed into the drink. She commented she was tasting pulp with each drink.
I could see Camporosso being great for some individuals, but it didn’t blow us away. I wouldn’t be opposed to giving another shot. You could do worse.

I was looking for a place to eat while in town for business. I decided to give this place a shot, and I’m so glad I did! This is now a restaurant I must hit while in town!!
The food is absolutely delicious! I ordered a Caesar salad, the Italian-inspired chili (which was phenomenal) and a wood fired personal margarita pizza (also phenomenal!!)
The quality of the food was great and everything tasted fresh. You can tell this place is likely family owned, the staff were attentive and very nice, and the place is super cute place and offers outside patio seating as well.

Honestly, expected more after seeing this restaurant on DDD; however, overall, I had an enjoyable lunch. Pizza is very subjective; not all styles suit all people. I had a 1/2 sopressata hot honey and 1/2 prosciutto & fig wood-fired pizza. Decent, but I’ve had much better wood-fired; hard to say where it fell short…dough, toppings, sauce?? That said, worth trying for yourself. Comfortable laid back atmosphere, waitstaff is competent and friendly. Other menu items besides pizza.

The crispy, fire-kissed crust on the pizza alone was worth the visit!
Our server, Michelle, was fantastic—warm, attentive, and on top of every detail without ever feeling rushed. From the first greeting to the last refill, the service matched the quality of the food. Heard from a long time NKY resident that Camporosso had the best pizza in the area. So a large group of us went for my birthday. They don’t take reservations, but we’re happy that we called ahead to let them know we were coming. We waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday night. It was absolutely packed. Our server did a GREAT job. A few of us got the Caesar salad. Solid choice and good flavor from the dressing and shaved parm. You can also ask for anchovies. We all got pizzas. Some got the Wood Fired Pizza others the larger Americana Pizza which is baked in a traditional oven. All 14 of us said this Pizza was the one of the best, if not the best, that we’ve ever had. One of the guys in our group is an Italian from Connecticut and agreed that he didn’t think one could find great Pizza here. Huge thumbs up. Since it was very busy, it was pretty noisy. They can do large groups but it was a little tight. We will definitely be back. EDIT DEC 2025: Another stellar visit. Our server, Ireland, was fantastic. That Caesar salad is AMAZING. We had the meatballs app which was also tender and flavorful. Pizzas awesome.

Some of the best pizza I have ever eaten and I’ve had the privilege to eat at some excellent pizza shops.
Their dough is incredible, toppings are delicious. I ordered all the meat, I suggest you ask for a side of their hot honey as it’s not that spicy but really is fantastic.
Their Caesar salad was really really good too.

First time customers. Meatball appetizer was okay a little bland. Pizza was amazing, the best we have ever tasted. Will be returning for pizza.

What is typically a great experience, fell extremely flat today. We didn’t have any greeting for about 10 minutes after we were sat, which was fine up until the point someone sat after us got taken care of first. Ordered apps, drinks, and mains in one go. That was the last time we saw our waitress until the bill came. But she kept checking on all the tables surrounding ours. Our apps came with missing items, drinks never refilled, water once as we were packing up, no side sauces came with the pizzas. One of our mains didn’t even come out until we were all done eating. We had to ask 3 different waiters for help before someone brought the meal out. The extra side sauces didn’t come until we were all done with the meal, which we ordered when we placed all the food.
We are extremely pleased with the guy who jumped in to cover our section since our waitress was practically ignoring us.
Massively disappointed in the service today and lack of acknowledgement in the mistakes. I understand things get busy BUT when our waitress repeatedly looked at our table and kept moving then it becomes an issue.
