I did this place for a catered work lunch and the way they served us was unbeatably great. As for the food, the blackened catfish and Mac&cheese were so very good but the pork chops were heavenly! Especially with the mashed potatoes and cream gravy! Come and try this place because it’s phenomenal! And as a bonus, they had donation boxes for local charities, that’s a nice touch!

Just a little hole in the wall at Rufe Snow and Mid Cities Blvd (Watauga rd). But the food is awesome. Loved their fried pickles. Also enjoyed the chicken fried steak. My husband said the hamburger and fries were great too. Try it out.

Food was ok. Chicken fried steak was tough and ligamenty. Bigger plate needed for this dish. My steak was sitting on top of mash potatoes. Banana pudding was thick but good. Maybe cream cheese was used.

This is my first time visiting this place and the food was delicious. Service was great too. I tried the meatloaf which is the Mondays special and it was soft and tasty. Smoky flavor and super tender. Green beans were also delicious. The charro beans were a little too salty for me though. Overall it was good and tasted like homemade food.

Came back again and it was just as good as the first time we checked the place out which prior to the pandemic. The food still had great flavor. I had a kids meal with Mac & cheese and mash potatoes with cream gravy. The Mac & cheese had really good flavor and was creamy. The potato’s had some skin left on and the gravy had real bacon in it. The kids meal comes with a drink. My fiancé got the daily special which is $3 cheaper than regular price. He got the chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes and gravy and corn. The chicken was cooked just right not dry at all the breading was crispy and had a good flavor. We split the banana pudding and it had chucks of banana in it and was so yummy! I hope we make it back sooner and not wait so long.

SO good, and so reasonably priced. Attractive, clean and local to boot. What could be better! The chicken fried chicken is tender and flavorful, the green beans perfectly seasoned, and the cilantro lime rice just perfect. I happened to have a two-hour break in my day and I’m so glad I stopped here for lunch!

WOW!!!! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! officially our new favorite place, everything was so delicious, clean, the staff was friendly and fast….the fried bacon was sooooo good. You won’t regret coming here! UPDATE we are back for another DELICIOUS meal… I can’t say enough about this place but what I will say is this is LITERALLY the BEST catfish I’ve ever had…. They also have really good chicken tender meals for the family that are way more affordable than the big names…we’re officially hooked. Thank y’all for a great experience

This place has really good food! I love Campfire Grill, and the workers are so pleasant and easy-going. The wait time is a bit long, but the food is worth the wait!! Also, something I think should be changed are the fountain drinks. They have off brand fountain drinks and they dont taste the same like on brand. The place has great music and great food, and overall 5/5!

Fantastic place for a family dinner. Food was great. Customer service was great. Very clean. Great atmosphere for families to dine.The appetizer tumbleweeds are a must try…they are delicious. The Mac and Cheese was absolutely AMAZING. We will definitely be back. This place serves no alcohol it is BYOB and is Non-smoking.

I have lived here for 3 year and don’t know why I have never been here! You can tell the locals really like it. It’s nice inside but some of the tables are a lil wobbly, but the booth was nice! You order at the window and get a number. Drinks and silverware are at a station, and you serve yourself. They bring the food to your table. It was nice and quick. The “mains” we fabulous. My catfish was amazing, super flaky and lite, just the perfect amount of breading. My son got the chicken friend steak that was recommended and he loved it. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the sides were lacking. I liked the seasoned fry’s, just needed a little salt. You can tell the ranch was made fresh and had great flavor, but was a little thin. The coleslaw really didn’t have any flavor. The green beans were not good, super mush. But overall, I will most definitely be back!! This is some great home style county cookin. I’m looking forward to trying the tamales!
