Originally built in 1876, revitalized in 2018 featuring a country store and restaurant. Re-opened April 2022 under new ownership. Restaurant and country store featuring Kentucky products, hand dipped ice cream, deli sandwiches, and a farm to table menu. We are currently closed for the season and will re-open on Memorial Day weekend 2026!

We got there early to beat the lunch rush. Appetizer was fresh rolls provided with butter. Great food, homemade beef veggie soup and grilled cheese just the perfect comfort food!! Hubby had the burger which was delish and fresh veggies. Finished the meal with ice cream cone! Talked to Paula and had a great waitress with Rhonda!! You have to go!!

This place saved our trip. We decided to do a weekend trip to the state park based on a tourism magazine, but a lot of things we planned on were false with one being the park to have activities.
We found the store online and saw they had kayak and canoe reservations. We filled out the form online and they called us back within a few hours and booked us. The whole experience was perfect. The owners and store are a gem in the community!!
You meet at the store and leave your car. You then get dropped off at a launch and picked up 12 miles later at a different launch (which is marked so you can’t miss it!) The owners explain everything in detail and provide everything needed. Bring snacks and drinks, sunscreen and bug spray with you! We left at 9am and got back at 3pm with the water moving slow and making quite a few stops! We relaxed, saw lots of wildlife, the natural arch, and swam!
When we got back, we got DELICIOUS ice cream and relaxed for a bit inside. The owners told us about stories and places In the community. So much fun!

Great food and fantastic people. We found them by chance but we are so glad, we did. Great conversation with some extremely good people, amazing food just like we would make them at home. Too sad they ran out of cake, I am sure that would be delicious too. Nice store to browse and explore some unique things. It did bring back lot of memory.

Great Cafe that was filled up with folks enjoying sandwiches, salads or plate lunch specials that change every week. They also have a great selection of hand-dipped ice cream. And the candies and sweets to choose from, oh my!! I had the country ham sandwich with mayo and cheese on some of the best homemade bread, with a side salad. The Mrs enjoyed the homemade pimento cheese sandwich with the orange salad! We decided to top off our meal with a fantastic banana split! And I couldn’t leave without selecting a few samples of bourbon balls, bourbon eggs and a peanut butter egg that were just amazing!!

The service was super nice. We had nice chats with the staff there, and overall, it was a super friendly place. The food was next level! I got the 6 it has got to be one of, if not, the best ruben I’ve ever had, my dad shared that thought with his sandwich as well. The shop was super cute and had amazing deals (their hoodies were only 35 usd), the three of us got lunch, a sauce and two magnets, and only spent around 50 something dollars. It’s definitely a great place to go to if you are ever in the area! (Also, the view is amazing there)

Cool little local spot that stays true to the community it is in. The store side has a lot of cool and local gifts and candy/ treats. I ordered the Melinda, which is simple but one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. So tasty! Service was great as well.

What a wonderful place! Enjoyed it very much. The staff was great. Husband just ordered a cheeseburger. He loved it. It was cooked on grill outside. We both had dessert. Cheesecake was awesome. Cozy and quaint atmosphere. Love the scenic area and the history.

Kind and very friendly. We was treated like family. The food was awesome and very delicious. The sandwich was made with homemade bread, home grown garden mater, onion. I do recommend this place! Especially if you want a good old fashion sandwich. My husband and I have done decided we want to go back before they close for the season. Y’all have to try this sweet little place!
