I have eaten here 2x’s in past month and I am done eating at the Smyrna, Tn location. The food both times was cold and was told “hot plate”. No the beans and rice was stone cold. The cheese wasn’t even melted. This was a late lunch both times 230-300pm both times. Same waiter and he never comes around until about the time you should be finished. By then I have to leave due to lunch.

This place has never failed!! Really good food and drinks! Always come here for birthday. Definitely recommend!…. The service there is usually good but today was the first time our waiter was not good. My family came here on a Sunday for a birthday. Our waiter was rude but tried playing it off, he would rush us to order, would leave and not come check on us. When It was time to sing happy birthday he just brought us the dessert and said “ everyone is busy to you have to wait until they are done” to sing. We waited a good time and just ended up leaving.

Went last night, the queso had the consistency of water, asked the waiter about it and he seemed offended that we brought it up. It was before 10 pm and we wanted to order another 18 oz margarita but we were told since they wanted to close down the outside seating so we could only get a small.This place is a hard pass for me.

I’m giving them 4 stars for being what they are: a pretty typical chain Mexican place that does things right. It would be unfair to slap them with a 2 star review comparing their stuff to some Mom & Pop joint in San Antonio. It’s called being realistic with your expectations.
