By far, the best Mexican restaurant in Tennessee. I grew up in Dickson but moved away a bit ago, but I was always fond of Camino Real and went pretty often.
After coming back to Dickson for the week, I knew I had to go back and eat at Camino Real again, and I’m pleased to say that it hasn’t lost it’s touch when it comes to the service and the food.
I came in with a crowd of seven and three split bills, but each of us was left satisfied with the fantastic service and quality of the food.
I would recommend Camino Real to anyone who hasn’t tried, or is visiting Dickson.

Passable food and margaritas, but absolute trash service. Any place that doesn’t ADVERTISE their drink specials is sketchy to begin with, but the entire reason I ordered a second margarita was because I saw happy hour pricing on my original ticket. Unfortunately my teenage server took an excruciatingly long time to come back around for that second drink order (20 or 30 minutes), and by the time I got to the register – where they misrang my drink order multiple times – I was informed that drinks after 9 didn’t have happy hour pricing. My server, sweet enough but young and inexperienced, didn’t mention pricing at any point ever. So essentially, I was punished for someone not coming back to ask if I wanted another drink. And may I ask why you would bother charging regular price for the one last hour of the day??? I should have known the “best Mexican restaurant ever” reviews were bologna.

Been going there for years. My wife sister came to visit us. And wanted to go out and eat. We recommend this place. Gave us our chips and salsa right off. Waitress left and came back 15 minutes later to get our drink order. Took another 10 minutes to get them. Left the menu. Took another 15 minutes to place our order. And an hour to get it. Pitiful. Food was ok. Going to be awhile before we go back. Felt bad raving about this place and left disappointed

Had lunch here and it was great. I had the speedy Gonzales lunch special and my husband had the Chile Colorado. I also had fried ice cream. Everything was amazing. The waiter kept our drinks filled.

This is a great restaurant for a large party. They know how to handle an unexpected crowd. We came at 2:30 in the afternoon with 23 people and they didn’t bat an eyelash. Within a minute the tables were ready to go. The manager was very welcoming, the servers were all men and the job got done. One of those guys can carry six plates down his arm. It’s very authentic I think. The music was just a little loud that’s why I gave him a four star on the atmosphere but that might be a little picky because they probably would have turned it down if I asked them to.
