Omg, I got the chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries.. the fries were PERFECT I inhaled them, it also came with 2 house made pickle slices. I’m not a pickle fan but these were seasoned with coriander and super fresh, I inhaled them. Chicken salad was loaded with good stuff and on toasted sour dough, amazing. I wasn’t planning on eating it all, buuuuuut it was just too good. The ne ipa was alright, more of an old school alchemist vibe than treehouse and the festbier was crisp and light. 10/10

Great place to have lunch or dinner or just stop by for a beer. Their baked ziti and sausage was delicious. Also love their soups and other weekly special dishes. Super friendly place and the bartenders are awesome!

This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I frequently visited CBH pre-pandemic, but my mid-pandemic experience was not great. So I decided to give it another try now.

The place is pretty big. It has an outdoor patio and the indoors is separated into two rooms, making it possible to enjoy the food in a quieter atmosphere. We ordered a quesadilla with grilled chicken, fish and chips, and a burger. The food was a mixed bag – I enjoyed my fish and chips, but the quesadilla’s meat was a bit bland and chewy. The burger was ok. My wife tried two of their coffee-based cocktails, and while they both smelled awesome, the taste lacked the sweetness of liquors (which might be fine depending on your taste).

My main goal in breweries is, of course, to try beers. CBH allows to order them in a flight of 5, so I’ve tried almost everything they had on tap. The beers are just ok, they are safe choices – most of them fit their respective style, but don’t take any steps beyond that. I liked Rock Bock and Festbier, but some of the beers missed the mark (like South 189 Lager). The beers are rotated – there were about 5 core beers I tried long before and others were new.

If you’re looking for a hangout spot with non mass market beer – CBH might be a good fit for you. If you’re a craft beer enthusiast and want to try new takes on existing beer styles, then you might have better luck with a dedicated brewery instead.

Stopped for dinner on Thursday night. Not too crowded. Seated right away. Liked the atmosphere, bar on one side w/ semi-loud music separated from restaurant type tables that were significantly quieter. Jalapeno popper appetizer tasted good but the breading was very hard. Had the rosemary chicken. Came with corn & red peppers mix and german potatoes. Corn was fine, not much flavor. Potatoes were fine cooked tender. Chicken was good, great flavor crispy skin, moist meat. Overall would come back to try the other options.

Great local brewpub. Drinks are affordable and beer was excellent. Bartender was attentive and fun and owner was kind enough to chat for a bit too. Did not eat this time but definitely plan a visit back soon to try some of their menu items. Highly recommend!

I had two of their beers CBP beers, they were quite good. My meal was excellent. Nice friendly service too. I will stop again when I am in the area. My meal was the bratwurst platter: bratwurst, kraut, veggies, and potato salad.

This review was written after our fifth time here. Always great food and friendly service. I’ve usually ordered burgers here and they’re always delicious and cooked right. I’m not a beer person, but the mixed drinks are made well and have been consistent over the several years I’ve been coming here. We’ll definitely be back.

This is a community place where locals go to hang out and have a drink and have a bite to eat. Service is very attentive and helpful. Attending an event there, we had a nice time and ordered calamari, fish and chips and a suggested order of chicken parmesan.

Eating there years ago for the first time, we all ordered burgers then noticed everyone else was getting fish and chips that looked spectacular. I don’t think this was the same recipe or fish, but still decent. The dinner item is served with house fried potato chips that are thick and very crunchy.

My partner said his chicken parmesan served on shells was good but the sauce was just tomato with no detectable seasoning. Calamari was fair, but again, for my readers, we eat a lot of this dish which gives us a vast landscape in terms of reviewing this appetizer.

Full bar in that they actually had Myers rum. Most CT restaurants and bars just have three rums to offer patrons: Bacardi, Malibu and Captain Morgan’s spiced. I manage with the Bacardi, as having more than one Malibu is not possible as it’s too sweet, and Captain Morgan’s is my least favorite rum made. Good for young or unsophisticated palates. It’s always tasted to me like the free pink gum that used to or still comes with baseball cards.

A large and airy space with a lot of seating, big bar and multiple television screens for viewing. Outdoor seating for warmer weather.

Anytime I’m in this part of the state, I like to go here. They have great beer, excellent food, and sometimes there is live entertainment.
I wish I could give this place a 6th star…
We finally were out this way again today and I had a CBH Kolsch that our server Brianna recommended and it was good. We also enjoyed the Yankee Garden pizza.
Everything was great as usual…

Our first time there, first they ran out of their special by 5 :30 p.m.
2nd we ordered 6 chicken wings for 14.00 and I would be ashamed to send the serving we received. They were so small they weren’t worth 14.00 actually 3.00 would be too much.
No fries with burgers or sandwiches. Cheap! Fries aren’t expensive.
Then we get the bill and we’re charged separately for pickles, onions, cheese and Sriracha which it did not state on menu that we would be charged for.
If you need to charge for these items just add it to burger cost.
The taste of the food was ok.
I was so excited to try this place out but it was a disappointment.
