I finally had the chance to try Calypso Coffee Bar in Apopka and I’m so glad I did! It’s a wonderful family-owned Guatemalan coffee shop just minutes from my house, and everything about it was great.
They offer a wide variety of coffee and tea options, and you can really taste the quality. They also have small brunch specials like sandwiches, which are perfect for a quick and delicious bite.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everyone was so kind. You can truly feel that it’s family owned and run with care. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Love this place! Been coming for a couple years now and it’s one of the few cafes in this area that I regularly come back to. The coffee is great and there are always different rotating specialty drinks and items that are creative and delicious. The girls who work here are also always so wonderful. Here’s the “Edward” cold iced thing latte I got as part of the valentines specialty menu as well as a Mallorca ham and cheese sandwich. Both delicious!

Literally the best coffee I’ve ever had! The owner Natasha is sooo sweet! She told us their coffee is sourced from their family-owned farm in Guatemala. They’ve been in the coffee business for 100 years. If you love smooth, sweet espresso, and an Instagrammable vibe, this is your spot.

This place is so nice! Great service, amazing food and drinks. We got the golden corn latte and liked it so much, we ended up ordering one more to go. We also had the cortadito, hera’s rose lemonade and the ham & cheese Mallorca. Even better, it’s family owned and operated 🙂 so glad we came here instead of Starbucks. Highly recommend !

I loved visiting this Greek themed coffee shop. They are known for their coffee flights. We also got a Caprese flatbread, hot coffee, and Asiago bagel for breakfast. Everything was pricey but nice to know we are supporting a small family business. The decorations and thought put into arranging the space was noticeable. I thought it was worth the drive from Winter Park to check out.

I was searching for acai bowls when I discovered Calypso Coffee, and I’m so glad I did! My mom and I went around noon on a weekday. We were the only ones when we first got there, but a few other parties came and went as we ate. The acai bowl isn’t on the printed menu, but is indeed available (strawberries, blueberries, granola, honey, coconut flakes) and made fresh. My mom had the caprese flatbread, which had fresh ingredients like sun roasted tomatoes.
I also ordered a flat white, and there were many milk choices available as well as flavors. I had honey, and it was fresh honey, not a syrup. My favorite part was that the coffee comes from the owner’s family farm in Guatemala, and it was delicious! You can also purchase fresh roasted beans to take home!
Ambience was 10/10, the staff were super nice and friendly, the food and coffee were amazing, and there were little mini chocolates sitting out! Love love.

The flavored lattes here are very well made. My husband’s gingerbread latte tasted just like a gingerbread cookie. I had the Mexican Mocha, it was fantastic. Both drinks were not too sweet, just right. We enjoyed both drinks hot. The family that owns the shop is so friendly and their coffee comes straight from their family farm in Guatemala. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area, it’s well worth the stop!
