We visited the Calypso twice during our stay.
On our first visit we had for starters the Big Island Crab Cakes (3 tiny crab cakes)and the West Indies assorted Patties of which I received just one.
Both starters were very small. However they were both tasty.
For the mains we had snapper. One piece of mine was a little overcooked. My partners were cooked perfectly. Again tasty though.
Spanish red wine to accompany our meal was very good.
Before we left we had a chat with our server about returning and trying the chicken. We were informed we would get authentic jerk chicken with proper Jamaican jerk sauce and not touristy sauce that we have had so far in the hotel.
Service was excellent.
On our second visit the jerk chicken was tasty but had no spicey jerk sauce. My partner ordered the vegetable curry. The blandest, tasteless curry she has ever eaten. I tried my partner’s curry and agree with her assessment.

Our next family food vacation adventure take us to Calypso inside of Royalton Resort located in jamaica with a category of 5.0 and only 2 reviews this Indian restaurant make you feel like you are in this country.
The service to the costumer was good and the atmosphere nice, food is special and little spicy but delicious.
High recommend if you come to visit this Resort.

Food was excellent. The pepper pot soup was, well, very peppery – more than we could handle. Other than that everything was very good. Service was also great. We had the Salted Codfish Fritters, Smoked Marlin Carpaccio, Curried Goat, Coconut Crusted Salmon, Mocha Mousse & Banana Bread
