DIXIE NORMOUS
First time here. My friend wanted Mexican. I didn’t. They were paying. So they won lol
The girl at the front was very stand off-ish. Like she didn’t wanna be there. She started to take our order at 2:03pm. She told us breakfast ended at 2pm. She could’ve told us that before seating us. Lots of basic mexican food on the menu. Ordered the Taco salad. Very small portion. So I was able to eat it all. The shell was nice and crunchy. They do NOT serve chips/salsa here. You have to ask and they charge for it.
Restaurant was clean. Food was cheap. Would I go back? No. It was nothing spectacular.

This place was really a let down after getting hyped up by locals in these reviews. Ordered a Chimi and a burrito. Basically paid $22 for two tortillas. Staff is nice enough. Sauces have a canned flavor. Meat is cooked to gray color. Maybe a little more time to cook food instead of focusing on speed would be my suggestion.

We got the Bacon Swiss Avocado Burger & Turkey Club and added avocado. Super bomb! Classic food, great taste. A little something for everyone, I’ll definitely be back if I’m in the area! Our waiter was super sweet and helpful along with the cook, love the atmosphere and kind vibes. Thank you!
*if you love ranch they have good ranch too!

1st time to stop in Parawon and decided to try Calvarios and it was a great decision. My wife had the Chicken Quesadilla and she said it was the best she has ever had. I had the Cowboy Skillet which was amazing – on the spicy side which I love.

This was a nice finding in Parowan. We had the Chili Verde Breakfast Burrito, French Toast and a mini carne asada taco (and when I say mini, I mean it ). But the rest of the food portions were fair for the price. The burrito was the BOMB! I added some mild green salsa and took it to a whole other level! The waitress was sweet and checked on us a few times, and even the owner (chef) came out to check on us. I loved how cozy the place was. It definitely brought some memories of my childhood back. It reminded me of how important family is in our culture. I would absolutely recommend this place! I didn’t try the desserts but they all looked amazing!

Amazing Mexican food! We went for lunch on our way down route 70. The corn tortillas were fresh and had great texture. The carnitas were tasty! The mother town burrito was phenomenal. Great depth of flavor, and the salsa verde was perfect with a small spice kick. If we lived closer we would be back frequently!

Good golly Miss Molly. We came to town to visit Cedar Breaks National Park and stopped here for a quick bite.
Normally, when you go to a small town you expect decent but not amazing food. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the food. So much so in fact we can back both days we were in town.
The beef and steak chimichanga were fantastic and the pies delicious. The next time we are within 50 miles we will certainly stop in for a bite.

Thought it was a super cool place, but the food was just slightly underwhelming. It was very tasty, but what the menu called a “huge burrito” was really a burrito a bit smaller than a Costa Vida burrito, for a few dollars extra. Awesome cultural experience and honestly good food. Workers were awesome. A super neat place

The food was great. It is a family-owned restaurant and the service was great. The son waited on us and he was a great server. Very friendly. The food was delicious and filling. Would recommend to everyone if you are ever visiting Parowan Utah. This was one of their decorations for Halloween.

Calvario’s is a friendly family owned Mexican restaurant with a great selection of food. The owner was present the entire time and made sure we were satisfied with our experience. His daughters were pleasant and well mannered while serving us. While talking with the owner, he explained how all of his ingredients come to his kitchen. His carne asada is hand selected while being sliced to make sure his costumers only receive the best meat. We tried the carne asada fries and burrito. Both were fully loaded, larger than one person can eat sized portions. Presentation was also superb. No complaints from me. I highly recommend eating here.
