The ice cream here is super tasty with a rich, creamy texture. I’ve tried several flavors — Blueberry Cheesecake (not sure if that’s the exact name), Mocha Chocolate (my favorite!), Oreo Coffee, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate, and Key Lime Pie — and all of them were delicious.
They have a great variety of flavors and offer different serving sizes. For me, the kiddie size is more than enough — it’s basically a big single scoop (lol).
Definitely a must-try spot for ice cream lovers!

Loved Cal’s Creamery! Such a cute spot with awesome ice cream and really unique flavors. I got the cake batter oreo and it was seriously one of the best ice creams I’ve had. Their ice creams are super creamy and delicious. Definitely a 10/10 and I’ll be coming back for sure!

My wife and I were in town visiting for Thanksgiving from NC. I’d say we’re HUGE ice cream connoisseurs, loving ice cream that has a rich creamy base, doesn’t slack on the mix-ins, and good portion sizes for the price. Cal’s hits ALL of these boxes. Compared to our favorite NC creameries, this place ranks as one of the top we’ve been too. Highly recommend.

Some of the best ice cream I’ve had. Got the vanilla brownie portion was great for a small compared to how a lot of places are today. The brownie was so fudgey and vanilla base was so good. Even my picky dad rated it a 10/10

Delicious homemade ice cream in a friendly and whimsical spot. The portions are huge: a kiddie is the size of a small and one scoop is like a pint. Highly recommend the blueberry crumble ice cream with homemade whipped cream. Clean tables, indoor and outdoor eating options, and nice restrooms. My only complaint is that the soft serve machine wasn’t working when we were there. Will definitely be coming back!

Returned to Boston and making the rounds on very cold days. Always a good time for ice cream!
Cal’s still has very good ice cream. Portion sizes are less than our previous visit, but still large. Flavor selection is lower, probably because winter demand is lower. While the strawberry at Cal’s rated higher than Westside, overall Westside remains our top choice. (Not shown in my prior Cal’s review, but subsequent returns to Westside had put them on top of our best list)
We’re visiting grandchildren and venturing out to find the “best” ice cream in the commutable area. It’s a tough job, but it’s all performed with parental approval of course. (mostly, we’re grandparents after all) Cal’s Creamery takes Top Honors!
For reference purposes and arguable comparisons Cal’s Creamery rates #1 out of 8 we have tried so far this week. The difference in the top 3 is slim, there is a large gap between these 3 and the lower 5. Our pseudo professional ratings categories include creaminess (how much the frozen deliciousness resembles heavy cream or at least half-and-half when melting in the mouth, along with whether there is any crunchiness due to a freezing process that gives ice crystals similar to a lot of store bought ice cream that has been open in the home freezer a bit too long), complexity and originality of flavor options, and finally the value proposition of portion size. Cal’s Creamery came in #2 for our creaminess by a slim amount, but made up for it with the overly generous portion sizes (also #2).

This is the third time they say they’re open on their google website only to arrive and find them closed with a new poster of new times. Will not be coming here again as it’s very annoying and wastes a lot of time not knowing when they will be open- It’s a shame since Ice cream is really good hence the 2 star
