While visiting Woodford Reserve, we asked a young lady about recommendations for lunch. She stated “there is a nice family restaurant nearby called Callies. Oh and by the way it’s my familes place!” … Well, we had to go check it out! What a nice find. A small, super clean, diner, with friendly people and wonderful food. I really enjoyed the special, a type of chicken philly they made which came with great pasta salad! If I lived here locally, I would eat here often, and it seemed other locals really did! Not a tourist for miles, except us, how nice!

I’ve been here a few times. It’s a nice little breakfast/lunch kinda place. It’s very welcoming and the place is very clean and like a small diner. It’s pretty affordable I will say. Not my favorite place but I will most likely come back! Food came out pretty quickly. No problems with it at all. There was no wait for seating and it was overall a nice and welcoming place!

We stopped by here for a quick breakfast. The place appears to be a local diner with some traditional breakfast items. Our host/server was friendly and kind to us. We ordered a chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy. It’s hard to go wrong with the breakfast items. We finished and paid up front.

We happened to find this little gem during a drive up to KY. Place was clean and the staff is friendly. I ordered the fried bologna sandwich and my partner ordered the hand breaded chicken tenders. All very good and hot. We will definitely come visit again when we are out this way again. We sat in the other dining room because the main was packed.

Family restaurant with good ole country food. Went for breakfast, country-style. It was so good we went back the next morning. Only had breakfast, twice, but it looks like you can get lunch and dinner as well. Friendly people, fast service, delicious food. The perfect place for family and friends!

We came.to eat breakfast with the family before my uncle’s funeral and we were told it would be 30min after we ordered and we waited 1 HOUR 30MIN for our food. I’m gluten free I order something that would be safe for me THEN THEY FORGOTTEN my food I was last to be served after everyone ate. I bit into my hash browns which I prefer shredded they gave me diced because they ran out even though I order way before everyone else, but they were RAW, HARD AS A ROCK. I asked the server to take it off the bill because I waited too long no refill while waiting on my drink and then my food was forgotten and not made correctly. Of course I’m upset and they wanted to have an attitude about us waiting too long for our food. They said back to the cook guess they have somewhere to be to my Grieving Aunt and she corrected them that it was her husbands funeral and to be honest they’re lucky the whole table didn’t say something. I WONT BE BACK AND NEITHER WILL MY FAMILY. Absolutely ridiculous, disrespectful, and it’s supposed to be home cooking and family vibes it WAS NOT.

Excellent breakfast! If you follow us you know we travel the country. One of my favorite breakfasts is a breakfast Burrito and I find it hard to find in certain areas. Callies has one and it is delish! Dave had Shane’s Snowball which is a biscuit with sausage, egg and smothered in sausage gray. All were fantastic! If this review has helped, please give it a !
